The White House has been racked by scandals. So what else is new!

In the forefront of recent disclosures about a spy scandal AT THE WHITE HOUSE has been Insight Magazine. In an apparent exclusive story they say that the FBI super-secret counter-intelligence unit, Division Five, has ostensibly found out that Israeli intelligence, The Mossad, has reportedly penetrated White House communications, phones, Faxes, modems, the works.

Some one at Insight Magazine once called me demanding I divulge my sources to one of my previous stories. [Since I am not the Establishment press, it is deemed okay to look down their nose at me.] They got all puffed up with my loudmouth answer.

"Look, friend, if I want to co-operate with the Korean CIA that owns your publication, Insight Magazine, and their sister magazine, Washington Times, I will deal directly with their spy shop, not you. So Goodbye." In the years past, my attitude got me thrown out of press conferences by the press whores. "Where is your Secret Service pass, Skolnick? You have no permit to be here." I never get a chance to explain that the First Amendment permits me to be there.


Since I have openly condemned the Secret Service for historically being complicit in political assassinations from the time of President Lincoln onward, they no doubt would never grant ME a pass to rub elbows with the official pressfakers. What, you say? No one ever told you that the Secret Service has to approve of you or you cannot be a reporter attending an important press conference? Savvy folks understand. The White House has been so penetrated by foreign espionage operations, it is hard to know where to begin.


George Herbert Walker Bush, as President, so much as invited them in. He being a New World Order type and all that. Clinton, as President, met from time to time, in the White House, with Wang Jun, the reputed head of the Red Chinese Secret Police. But get this: Wang Jun has been the PRIVATE LAW CLIENT of Kenneth W. Starr, the supposed "Independent" Counsel who claimed to be running after Bill and Hillary for over four years.

Several of Clinton's hangers-on were found dead who knew too much about all this. [The list is too long to put here.] Clinton reportedly turned over to Wang Jun, and others of the Red Chinese Secret Police, U.S. industrial, financial, and MILITARY secrets. To a sworn enemy of the United States. The classic definition of treason, right? And Starr has reportedly been the UNREGISTERED foreign lobbyist for the Red Chinese government.


[To get a better handle on this, pull up my series on The Red Chinese Secret Police in the United States.] In previous stories we have mentioned how Rahm Emanuel, by reported strong-arm methods and extortion, got hold of a secret 3 million dollars of federal agency funds to jump-start Clinton's first campaign for President, late in 1991. Thereafter, off and on for some six years, Rahm Emanuel was Clinton White House Senior Advisor. On a local PBS TV Show in Chicago, Rahm Emanuel bragged in a TV camera shot right inside the White House, that his desk was the closest of any to the Oval Office.

With dual citizenship, U.S. and Israel, Rahm Emanuel is reportedly an important player in the Red Chinese Secret Police washing the massive proceeds of "China White" dope through the Chicago markets, such as the Chicago Mercantile Exchange. The Chairman Emeritus of the "Merc" as it is called has been Leo Melamed, who reportedly grew up in the Orient, speaks and understands Chinese. Melamed has been a reputed kingpin in the open secret in Chicago of the Red Chinese Secret Police and the La Salle Street commodity peddlers. As we have told you, also laundered through the Chicago markets reportedly have been the proceeds from the human body parts business. The Red Chinese Gestapo arrests and imprisons young, healthy dissidents. When body parts are ordered by the Rockefeller Hospitals (University of Chicago), the prisoners are condemned to death, beheaded to protect the parts, and the body pieces are shipped to Chicago.

After leaving the White House, Rahm Emanuel became Managing Director of Wasserstein & Perella, with head-quarters in New York and an office in Chicago. They reportedly are the link in clandestine deals with the Red Chinese as supervised by their secret police. Rahm Emanuel reportedly assists the Red Chinese in keeping their armlock on the Chicago markets in commodities and foreign currencies, an open secret.

White House correspondents were and are well aware that the White House communications have been penetrated by foreign intelligence operations. But, to keep their well-paid jobs, they are silent. One White House network reporter is openly known as somehow keeping track of all of the President's communications, comings and goings, and clandestine meetings. Is this conveyed to foreign "spooks"? Is that person and other reporters actually assets of foreign spy operations? Overseas corporations have an armlock on the U.S. monopoly press. A company reportedly left over from the Nazis, Bertelsmann, reportedly has been actively trying to take-over CBS. To scare them off, CBS radio puts out some early mornings some real news, never repeated during the day. [So you are sleeping and miss it all. Too bad.]

As apparent feed-back from foreign "spooks", some networks have a "news menu". The news director of a local network affiliate is allowed to choose which item, hard news or soft, is at the top of the hour. Chicago used to use menu #5, meaning the good stuff was on the air, in the early morning in California, not Chicago.

Quite a few network reporters are assets for America's Secret Political Police, the FBI and the CIA. They knew all along that the Monica Lewinsky Affair had all the makings of a foreign intelligence operation. Monica was a reputed asset of The Mossad since a teen ager. Her father was from Central America. Both parents are reportedly "sleepers" for The Mossad, put into service, when needed, as needed. Monica and her sex numbers were just part of her bag of tricks. Clinton sent Monica to work in a key position in the Pentagon for which she reportedly was not fully competent. She worked for Kenneth Bacon, Pentagon Public Affairs boss, with the assitance of Linda Tripp who earlier in her career was one of the few women in the highly secret Delta Forces. Monica's job, as ordered by Clinton? To find out who in the Pentagon was planning a coup against the White House. In the process of her assignment, Monica got pregnant by a Pentagon official and got an abortion.

Reportedly egging on Monica, was Lucianne Goldberg, book agent for O.J. Simpson Affair character Mark Furhman.[That is a story all by itself.] Lucianne's relative ran the courier service by which Monica reportedly sent secret notes from the Pentagon to Clinton via his Secretary. Remember: the President told Monica that foreign spooks were tapping the White House phones. How is it that Clinton was powerless to do anything? A quick answer: there was so much blackmailing up and back, how do you stop it?

Some of the spy penetration of White House communications ended up with the Russians secret police, successors to the dreaded KGB. Although the Russians on occasion do not get along with the Red Chinese Secret Police, the Te-Wu, they do, if necessary, share secrets. The Moscow gang wanted to be sure that the White House, the Justice Department, and the State Department, did NOT divulge that the bulk of the U.S. and IMF billions of dollars embezzled by the new Russian oligarchs, actually went through large Mexico-based banks with units in the U.S., laundering clandestine and illicit funds through the Chicago markets. Rahm Emanuel's reputed base of operations. As a George Herbert Walker Bush crony, Bill Clinton needed to protect the money laundering operations of Bush as supervised by Federal Reserve Commissar Greenspan. As a cover up, the monopoly press said two banks [only] in New York were implicated in the Russian gang and their embezzlements. The head of one of such, Republic Natonal Bank, Edmond Safra, was mysteriously murdered while this was boiling. He was an expert on gold. [See my story on Murder in the Gold Market.]

Reportedly implicated with the Bush family, the Russian oligarchs, and the Clinton cover up, in massive embezzlements, has been Grupo Financiero Bancomer, a Mexican bank octopus with U.S. branch units. Bancomer has pleaded guilty to U.S. dope money laundering charges.

Israeli intelligence considers themselves equal-opportunity spies. They get along, on some levels, with the Red Chinese, the French CIA [not lately], the new Russian Gestapo, German Counter-Intelligence in Frankfurt, and others. The Israelis consider themselves an endangered species, always subject to war and possible extinction, Hitler-style.


The Russian mafiya, protected by Clinton, had no trouble in penetrating White House communications. Just the same as they penetrated business in U.S. major cities, Chicago and New York as examples. In Chicago, they are the big speculators in Lake front real estate. With complete impunity, they control the red light districts in the Windy City. They circulate, unchecked and unpunished, a superior quality counterfeit U.S. currency. Tired of a quiet life? Find out about all this and then go tell your local FBI. The Russian mafiya are made up principally of former KGB officers and the FBI is afraid of their bloody, dirty tricks. So, if you tell the FBI, YOU will be tracked and surveilled, NOT the Russian mafiya. Just reality, that is all.

The French CIA plays their role in all this. They are sore about the White House/FBI cover up of the shooting down by missiles of TWA Flight 800, offshore New York, destined for Paris. Sixty French nationals were among those who perished, including 8 operatives of the French CIA. A very top official of the French spy agency, for an unexplained reason, refused to board Flight 800 and went instead on El Al, the Israeli government-sponsored airline. The El Al flight was to have been in the slot taken by Flight 800. Because of a delay, Flight 800 became the target.


The White House and the Justice Department, by blackmail, are keeping the French silent. How? By threatening to prosecute more than a dozen French spies, reportedly stealing top U.S. industrial secrets on U.S. soil. Of late, the French CIA has been unfriendly to The Mossad. The French do not like the current Israeli government bosses.


To be kept in mind is that the Korean CIA, that reportedly finances Insight Magazine and the Washington Times, uses as a front Rev. Sun Myung Moon. According to law enforcement reports, Rev. Moon is part of a huge, international money laundering operation jointly with George Herbert Walker Bush. Washed are the funds skimmed off of U.S. and South Korean contracts for military goods as well as international dope trafficking from the Orient. While the Rev.Moon publications started with The Mossad as penetrating White House communications, the affair actually involves many foreign intelligence agencies, both aiding one another, blackmailing one another and the occupants of the White House. Has everyone forgot the giant scandal of the 1980s, when operatives of the Korean CIA tried to buy a number of key members of the U.S. House of Representatives and the U.S. Senate? The Korean CIA is trying to effect the outcome of the year 2000 election. Blaming all the spying on Israel is one way to appeal to bigots who see the tiny nation as a religious opponent. Yes, The Mossad, as other spy agencies, is amoral, on occasion, like the American CIA, using criminals. Rahm Emanuel, a reportedly unpunished criminal, is, in effect, the acting Deputy Chief of The Mossad for North America. Apparently two-faced, Rahm Emanuel was both a Clinton loyalist and arranging to finger Clinton. And don't forget the British. They have to keep an eye on people like the President, past, present, and future. Clinton took an oath to support the Cecil Rhodes Trust that sent him to Oxford. They are pledged to overthrow the U.S. government and return this continent to being a British puppet colony. Of course, that contradicted Clinton's oath, twice taken, to support the U.S. Constitution. British MI-6 is likewise implicated in penetrating White House communications. Simple explanation: the blackmail business.

In a small way I probably helped the Korean CIA after all. I have been a subscriber to Insight Magazine and the National Weekend Edition of the Washington Times. Hey, with all these spies penetrating the White House communications, I guess it is not safe for any of the White House staff to use the washrooms there. Henry Kissinger had a favorite way to defeat bugging. His super-secret meetings were in the washroom while he repeatedly flushed the toilet. The clever spies nowadays, however, have figured out a way to filter out the flushing-the-john noises.

To old-time spy-watchers, none of this is big news or unusual. To students of blackmail, the White House is a living text book. Stay tuned.

[1] Press conference 4/1/03, Rumsfeld TWICE denied reports of cease fire being arranged for U.S. through a third party. HE CHOSE WORDS, however, allowing him, through semantics, to wiggle out of that.

Exploiting the Delusions of Money

The American Constitution, as I understand it, was set up initially to protect the individual's liberty by making it incumbent on Congress to limit government. How else do you protect the market's (consumer's) sovereignty? But despite all the hoopla about how capitalist the Republican right appears to represent themselves today, most of them are simply part of the winning argument - big government. The rest of us, libertarians included, are irrelevant. Individuality is irrelevant. Because government continues to grow, somehow, and despite all the conservatives in power.

Today you're going to find out how, if you don't already know.

Inflation Funds Big Government
It's really a two-step process in the big scheme of things, and it has everything to do with money.

Inflation leads to economic problems beginning with monetary debasement and ending / resulting in malinvestment, unemployment, capital thinning, excessive indebtedness, financial volatility, and political corruption.

Then everyone blames the markets and capitalism for all the bad outcomes and asks the government to help them out of the mess it helped create. Government expenditures, taxes, inflation, and regulatory power increase.

This is how the government grows over time. It's how inflation is a confiscation of wealth, or a means of wealth transfer to political circles. It's the reason inflation is a hidden form of taxation - because people don't generally come to realize it to be the main problem, and so they beg for more of it in order to cure the economy of the symptoms or imbalances caused by it in the first place.

But if not corrupt, our governments are smart today. They know some of its citizens are hip to their desire to grow. So they (Republican or Democrat) engage in PR campaigns to persuade the markets that they are subjugated to them. Whether it's the promise to lower taxes, or the deficit, or to privatize an industry here or there, in the end they too must know that somehow, it's all an illusion, because government continues to grow.

To the extent the markets believe it, the immediate result is for market confidence to rise in the government's economic policies. To the extent they are stimulative and the market's confidence reflects in new currency / loan demand, the inflation can start. GDP can grow with or without profits this way. The phony growth in economic activity allows the government to grow unnoticed. And it can claim that its growth is modest - relative to the growth in GDP.

However, here's the catch. Much of the growth in GDP is not real. We never know it at the time, since there's so much money sloshing around in a boom. On the other hand, the growth in government is real. Moreover, so are the obligations of government, and its citizens who become increasingly dependent if not addicted to their government's easy (money or economic) schemes.

There you have it. Inflation finances the growth in government, both present and future. It's a vicious cycle of promise, deceit, and corruption. Central banking is the mechanism that sustains it. The cost is your liberty. At first it's only economic. Through inflationary error, the government creates a crisis that it promotes itself as the best cure for.

In place of the market, the government increasingly dictates the economy's resources - through higher taxes, price controls, greater spending, economic planning, consolidation of banking/media power, etc. The process is gradual, and real. I sincerely believe we only have to figure out where we are on the timeline to hyperinflation. It's no longer a matter of "if."

"WHERE" is Neil Bush ? And how has he been able to rob the Savings and Loans, unmercifully relieving many seniors of their retirement funds, without even being seen. "HE LEARNED FROM HIS DADDY" the art of invisibility.

Way back in the 60's ... a much younger George H.W. Bush operating Zapata Offshore Oil Drilling as a front for his ventures in CIA killing and Coup management in South America and Mexico. Of course he also became quite familiar with the Arab Oil Producers, how else would Solomon Bin Ladin become his son, George "W" Bush's largest Investor in "Arbusto" Oil ? (Arbusto means Bush in Spanish).

So, as I have been informed, many of the weapons shipped in the 60's to men training in Louisianna and the Florida Everglades to attack Cuba, were shipped in crates that were stamped "ZAPATA OIL COMPANY" ... This operation was the Bay of Pigs attack under the authority of the CIA, in opposition to JFK's Orders to the contrary. The Operation itself was called Operation "ZAPATA" !!!

The "Angel of Death" (Skull and Bones Member) George H.W. Bush was "the man" ... but he somehow avoided detection, however, the CIA Headquarters in Langley is named ... The George Herbert Walker Bush Building.

Kennedy was snuffed for his irreverence to old man Bush and the CIA, not long after fouling the CIA plans related to the Bay of Pigs, publicly threatening to split the CIA into a thousand pieces, and after firing Alan Dulles the then head of the CIA. (Alan Dulles sat on the Warren Commission to investigate (cover-up) the Kennedy Assassination. There is no Statute of Limitations for this murder in Texas. OLD MAN BUSH SHOULD BE AFFORDED A RIDE IN THE CHAIR HIS KID IS SO FOND OF USING IN TEXAS.

Later, the Angel of Death, Bush, enjoys a meteoric rise in politics. He is the 1st "AMBASSADOR TO CHINA" ... UN AMBASSADOR ... VICE-PRES. under Reagan ... where "surprisingly" another assassination attempt takes place. John Hinckley (son of an oil man, whose brother was invited to have dinner with Neil Bush the night of the attempt on Reagan's Life) ... and after the attempt on Reagan, for all practicle purposes, Daddy Bush was the President. Later, the Angel of Death became President ... and now he has installed his son in the U.S. CEO spot.

Too many coincidences to ignore. Our way of life has changed drastically since Kennedy was murdered, our government refuses to investigate it, refuses to even release files and other data related to the murder ... so who are they protecting ??? I say without any doubt in my mind ... it is the ANGEL OF DEATH ... GEORGE H. W. BUSH.

I want to set the record straight on a couple of matters that have been stuck in my craw for awhile, causing me to have "gas", so please bear with me while I relieve myself.

I have been arguing with the State of Texas about its claim that I should beg for the STATES permission to travel about at my leisure, after being charged by the STATE of violating its alleged "PEACE AND DIGNITY". Every criminal complaint filed in the STATE OF TEXAS is required to state that the Peace and Dignity of TEXAS has been breached by the alleged violator/criminal.

My point is that there is NO PEACE nor DIGNITY to violate in THE STATE OF TEXAS, and the STATE itself is the worst violator of PEACE and DIGNITY, and therefore every criminal complaint filed by every prosecuting attorney is an absolute fraud upon its face.

Let the search for Peace begin at WACO, where a very sorry excuse for a Governor, Anne Richards, allowed the feds to violate Posse Comitatus, and even supplied military aircraft for the purposes of murdering 80 innocent people that until that time were living in PEACE. This so-called Governor of the Sovereign STATE OF TEXAS sat on her fat ass and watched the slaughter, if in fact she wasn't more of a participant than on observer. She claimed that she was informed by someone that the Davidians were actually operating a "meth" lab. She is a liar and a murderer.

Maybe my search for PEACE should have begun at Dallas, Texas. November 22, 1963. That would be a date most would agree divided a peaceful world from that one torn asunder by the murder of the President of the United States, in broad daylight, while in the company of his wife and the then Governor of Texas, John Conally. The inept and impotent government of Texas not only allowed the event to take place, but for 40 years has assisted in covering it up.

Murder is an offense that has NO STATUTE OF LIMITATIONS, but Texas has chosen to ignore its obligation to solve the crime of the century, that happened in its JURISDICTION. The STATE OF TEXAS allowed the destruction of evidence, the release of suspects, the removal of the corpus delecti and in common language "screwed the pooch" by allowing the feds to run over them on that fateful day. But that isn't the worst of it. The feds were the culprits that day, they killed the President and the Texas authorities had to have an inkling of the truth, if they too weren't a part of the murder and cover-up. Lee Harvey Oswald, like Kennedy, was murdered while under the protection of the STATE OF TEXAS. And that was the end of the STATE's investigation. And the United States had a new President anyway, from the STATE of TEXAS. You will remember that lying criminal as LBJ. The guy that swore on national television that he wouldn't send American Boys to their deaths in Vietnam. He only got 58,000 of them killed.

In an industrial park in Philadelphia sits a new machine that can change almost anything into oil.
Really.
"This is a solution to three of the biggest problems facing mankind," says Brian Appel, chairman and CEO of Changing World Technologies, the company that built this pilot plant and has just completed its first industrial-size installation in Missouri. "This process can deal with the world's waste. It can supplement our dwindling supplies of oil. And it can slow down global warming."
Pardon me, says a reporter, shivering in the frigid dawn, but that sounds too good to be true.
"Everybody says that," says Appel. He is a tall, affable entrepreneur who has assembled a team of scientists, former government leaders, and deep-pocketed investors to develop and sell what he calls the thermal depolymerization process, or TDP. The process is designed to handle almost any waste product imaginable, including turkey offal, tires, plastic bottles, harbor-dredged muck, old computers, municipal garbage, cornstalks, paper-pulp effluent, infectious medical waste, oil-refinery residues, even biological weapons such as anthrax spores. According to Appel, waste goes in one end and comes out the other as three products, all valuable and environmentally benign: high-quality oil, clean-burning gas, and purified minerals that can be used as fuels, fertilizers, or specialty chemicals for manufacturing.
Unlike other solid-to-liquid-fuel processes such as cornstarch into ethanol, this one will accept almost any carbon-based feedstock. If a 175-pound man fell into one end, he would come out the other end as 38 pounds of oil, 7 pounds of gas, and 7 pounds of minerals, as well as 123 pounds of sterilized water. While no one plans to put people into a thermal depolymerization machine, an intimate human creation could become a prime feedstock. "There is no reason why we can't turn sewage, including human excrement, into a glorious oil," says engineer Terry Adams, a project consultant. So the city of Philadelphia is in discussion with Changing World Technologies to begin doing exactly that.
"The potential is unbelievable," says Michael Roberts, a senior chemical engineer for the Gas Technology Institute, an energy research group. "You're not only cleaning up waste; you're talking about distributed generation of oil all over the world."
"This is not an incremental change. This is a big, new step," agrees Alf Andreassen, a venture capitalist with the Paladin Capital Group and a former Bell Laboratories director.
The offal-derived oil, is chemically almost identical to a number two fuel oil used to heat homes.

Andreassen and others anticipate that a large chunk of the world's agricultural, industrial, and municipal waste may someday go into thermal depolymerization machines scattered all over the globe. If the process works as well as its creators claim, not only would most toxic waste problems become history, so would imported oil. Just converting all the U.S. agricultural waste into oil and gas would yield the energy equivalent of 4 billion barrels of oil annually. In 2001 the United States imported 4.2 billion barrels of oil. Referring to U.S. dependence on oil from the volatile Middle East, R. James Woolsey, former CIA director and an adviser to Changing World Technologies, says, "This technology offers a beginning of a way away from this."
But first things first. Today, here at the plant at Philadelphia's Naval Business Center, the experimental feedstock is turkey processing-plant waste: feathers, bones, skin, blood, fat, guts. A forklift dumps 1,400 pounds of the nasty stuff into the machine's first stage, a 350-horsepower grinder that masticates it into gray brown slurry. From there it flows into a series of tanks and pipes, which hum and hiss as they heat, digest, and break down the mixture. Two hours later, a white-jacketed technician turns a spigot. Out pours a honey-colored fluid, steaming a bit in the cold warehouse as it fills a glass beaker.
It really is a lovely oil.
"The longest carbon chains are C-18 or so," says Appel, admiring the liquid. "That's a very light oil. It is essentially the same as a mix of half fuel oil, half gasoline."
Private investors, who have chipped in $40 million to develop the process, aren't the only ones who are impressed. The federal government has granted more than $12 million to push the work along. "We will be able to make oil for $8 to $12 a barrel," says Paul Baskis, the inventor of the process. "We are going to be able to switch to a carbohydrate economy."

Any gratitude for the removal of Saddam is now virtually exhausted

Abdul al-Malaki lives opposite the gatehouse of the extravagant palace that Saddam Hussein built in his home town of Tikrit. Flanked by megalomaniac twin statues of the former Iraqi president riding a horse above four missiles, the palace arch was a daily affront to locals.
"The people of Tikrit are like the rest of Iraq. They hated Saddam Hussein. I want to kill him," the 28-year-old cafe-owner spat out his words. But as lorry-loads of US Marines trundled through the arch, he switched focus: "This is an occupation. Nothing else. We will keep quiet for a year and if they have not gone we will kill them."

The gratitude for removing Saddam Hussein on which Washington mistakenly expected to bank for years is almost exhausted. Those who warned the Bush administration against this war have been proved right. Only in the Kurdish areas of the north is there any satisfaction.

The Tikrit cafe-owner's views are replicated throughout the largely Arab parts of Iraq. In Nassiriya, Shia protesters greeted the US proconsul General Jay Garner with shouts of "No to Saddam, no to occupation" last week. In Baghdad, tens of thousands of Sunni and Shia worshippers came out of Friday prayers and marched through the streets, calling on the US to leave.

In the Iraqi capital, where American troop strength is most visible, it is easy to understand why people complain of feeling humiliated. The soldiers' presence is a reminder that Iraqis failed to topple the dictator themselves. Adding to their long list of complaints against him, Iraqis now blame Saddam Hussein for letting the Americans in.

Hassan Ali Hussein, a graduate of the Oil Institute, says he refused a job at the oil ministry because it meant joining the ruling Ba'ath party. Now this principled anti-Saddam man delights in the dictator's overthrow and accuses him of failing to organise urban guerrilla warfare. "Saddam betrayed us. We think there was an agreement between Bush and Saddam for Baghdad not to resist," he says.

The Pentagon's failure to plan for the "day after" adds to the anger. Making the time-honoured mistake of re-fighting the last war, the only preparations they made were for food. Air-dropping humanitarian parcels or delivering food by road provides good propaganda images. In a country that had suffered from three years of drought like Afghanistan it also made sense.

Washington did not seem to know Iraq was different. The one thing people are not short of is food, thanks to the monthly rations of basics such as rice, sugar, cooking oil, tea and flour that every Iraqi receives, regardless of income. In a sanctions-damaged economy, 60% rely on the state-run programme and on the eve of war Saddam Hussein sensibly issued up to five months rations in one go.

Instead of concentrating on food aid, the US ought to have prepared teams of water and power engineers, as well as flown in extra troops to prevent the postwar looting that breaks out in every country when regimes collapse (there should have been no surprise here).

The immediate priority is to provide security and get the lights and telephones back on. But a far greater problem looms. Ten million Iraqis, who depend on the state sector for jobs, have not been paid for a month. Washington may parrot the mantra about turning Iraq into a free-market economy, but this is for the birds. The poverty that hundreds of millions of Russians and other eastern Europeans faced in the over-hasty dismantling of a state-run economy is as nothing to what is hitting Iraqis. Eastern Europe at least had a "transition". In Iraq the budget and the government that ran it collapsed overnight.

Who is going to pay the doctors, teachers, bus-drivers, and other government employees now? Many Iraqis are looking to the UN oil-for-food programme, and suggesting additions. The UN should take over paying government salaries to the thousands of people who are currently working for nothing in the mood of postwar solidarity. Looting has had most of the international media attention but the enormous amount of work being done free in the country's hospitals is equally important. When electricity returns and schools resume, no doubt most teachers will work for nothing too.

Another proposal is that every family that benefits from subsidised food rations and is listed at one of the scheme's 45,000 well-run distribution points should be given a monthly cash handout of $10 per person. This would ease the threat of postwar poverty and pump-prime the local market.

Along with humiliation over defeat and anger at the postwar chaos, resentment over colonisation is on the rise. People point to the fact that the oil ministry was the only government office in Baghdad that the US did not bomb and protected from looters by planting a ring of troops around it on day one of "liberation". Episodes like the massacre in Mosul when on two consecutive days last week US troops fired into crowds of protesters have classic imperial overtones and feel like the foretaste of greater repression to come.

In the vacuum of power the mosques are emerging as the main source of resistance. The good news is that far from confronting each other, Sunni and Shia clerics and worshippers are uniting behind a common agenda. Many are fundamentalists but Iraq's progressive secular forces say this is not the primary issue at this stage. "What we're faced with today is not a choice between secularism and religion. We're facing an invasion and foreign rule. We have to work together to end it," says Dr Wamid Omar Nadmi, a leading political scientist at Baghdad university.

Every aspect of today's chaos and the danger of clashes between Iraqis and their occupiers highlight the need to get a UN presence into Iraq fast. The UN should expand the oil-for-food system to head off the poverty crisis. It should appoint a UN administrator to start brokering intra-Iraqi talks and forestall US efforts to create an Iraqi government of US placemen.

One of the Pentagon's many failed predictions was that someone, if not Saddam Hussein, would surrender to US forces in the face of overwhelming US military might. Had that happened as in Japan and Nazi Germany, it could have given Washington the right of continuity which its failure to get UN backing before the attack had denied it. Instead, the postwar occupation runs counter to international law as much as the war itself. The UN has a moral obligation to take over and, hard though it will be to get it past Washington's veto, the EU states and Russia should draft a security council resolution to authorise a strong UN role as soon as possible.

Conclusions: Guilty or Innocent--Or Can It Be That Simple?

One of my degrees is in the field of paralegal studies and legal research--and one of the things this has taught me is to always presume someone is innocent until proven guilty. Because evidence is required to actually convict, just so, to make an allegation, some measure of evidence must also be present. When one examines a set of evidence that is present pertaining to the activities and whereabouts of George Bush and his father during the Second World War, one sees some intriguing things. And when one has had the experience that I have had, of having heard an advertisement on the radio for a book which made the allegation that George Bush committed (essentially) treason during World War II by landing his plane on a Japanese-held island and delivering a message to the Japanese, one is more likely to prick up his ears when he reads how George Bush's father was indicted in October, 1942, for trading with the enemy. (Tarpley and Chaitkin 30-46); and how George Bush was out of pocket off Guam for as much as 48 hours (Hyams 82-150 ; Tarpley and Chaitkin 100-13); and how one of Bush's fellow crewmen debates his account of whether his plane was on fire when he jumped out of it (raising the question of whether he knew how to water land an aircraft as he allegedly had off Guam a month or two earlier). (Sullivan 57-9; Tarpley and Chaitkin 101-15; Blumenthal, "War Stories.").

Also intriguing in this case is the way Bush promoted a man within the Republican Party who was a known Axis courier during World War II (Simpson 78). Also interesting is how Bush signed a picture belonging to a known Nazi who exterminated thousands of Jews in World War II, "To the Honorable Jaroslav Stetsko--with Best Wishes, George Bush (Bellant 124-31)." Finally, it should probably not slip past our notice that George Bush's father's attorney was Allen Dulles, a man who has now clearly been shown to have engaged in treason in World War II by negotiating with Nazis and Japanese behind the back of FDR (Loftus and Aarons 71-80).

In 1936, Forrestal bought Socal and Texaco together and, with the help of Dillon, Read vice president Paul Nitze, drew up the scheme to pool the assets of the two companies "East of Suez." The result was that after 1940, when the deal was formalized, Caltex became the parent company of Aramco, the Arabian-American Oil Company. . .[T]he various independent companies that had once been Standard Oil. Aramco eventually would reunite two of the most important component companies, Standard of California and Standard of New Jersey, which still was dominated by the Rockefellers, in the form of John D. Rockefeller, Jr. The two companies had more in common than oil and greed. They both did business with the Nazis, acting as if they hated the Jews (Loftus and Aarons 63).

When the dust settled on the complex web of paperwork, Dulles's Nazi client I.G. Farben had Forrestal on payroll (Loftus and Aarons 63-7). The whole arrangement worked well until the U S went to war in 1941. Standard of New Jersey's relationship with Farben hadn't gone unnoticed in Washington. Next to the Rockefellers, I.G. Farben owned the largest shares of stock in Standard Oil of New Jersey. Standard's deal with the Nazis looked like treason. Its 1939 letter renewed its agreement and clarified that the Rockefellers' company was prepared to work with the Nazis whether their own government was at war with the Third Reich or not. Truman's Senate Committee on the National Defense was outraged and began a probe into the whole arrangement, much to the discomfort of John D. Rockefeller, Jr. But suddenly the whole thing was dropped. The reason for Rockefeller's escape was blackmail (Loftus and Aarons 63-7). According to former intelligence officers interviewed on this point,say Loftus and Aarons (63-7) the blackmail was simple and powerful: The Dulles brothers had one of their clients threaten to interrupt the US oil supply during wartime. Besides the late US Supreme Court Justice Arthur Goldberg, three other members of the US intelligence community insist that Allen Dulles was personally behind the threat to cut off Saudi supplies. Standard's Execs made it clear the entire US war effort was fueled by their oil and it could be stopped. Arnold could do nothing but accept the fact of the blackmail. The American government had no choice but to go along if it wanted win the war.

One Standard executive, Loftus and Aarons tell us (63-7) paid $1000 or a quarter of one week's salary, for having betrayed the nation. No matter what they did during the war, Dulles's and Forrestal's clients could get away with anything as long as they controlled the Arabian oil wells. That point was driven home by SoCal just as Allied forces began the invasion of Normandy. The company demanded profit margins of 250 to 300 percent on production costs for each barrel of Saudi oil sold to the American government. The US government had no choice; it gave Socal its price increase.

President Roosevelt, they tell us, (Loftus and Aarons 63-7) also was forced to appoint Dulles's oil cronies to the very boards that were charged with oversight of such misconduct. On was Gerhard Alois Westrick, the front man for Sullivan and Cromwell's former German clients. Westrick remained Allen Dulles's personal client before and after the war. Westrick was also a German intelligence agent and in close contact with the pro-Hitler oil man Torkil Rieber, a Norwegian-American who was the president of Texaco as well as Socal's partner in Saudi oil and one of Forrestal's clients. The Dulleses wasted no time in pressuring the British to call off their pet dogs in the American press. Dulles and a colleague expressed their desire to have our British propaganda action in the USA as to I.G. Farben discontinued. Their explanation was that, in their opinion, this might involve large American companies like Standard Oil of New Jersey, etc., thereby perhaps impairing the war effort. Dulles was personally threatening to cut off Britain's supply of oil during the war if the British persisted with their exposure of American oil's connection to I. G. Farben. Dulles used the oil blackmail tactic on both sides of the Atlantic and London and Washington both bit their tongues. Loftus and Aarons also tell us:

Ba'athists Slip Quietly Back Into Control

They have quietly removed the pictures of Saddam Hussein from their sitting rooms, and reconfigured their memories to transform lives of privilege into tales of suffering. Less than two weeks after the collapse of the regime, thousands of members of the Arab Ba'ath Socialist party, the all too willing instrument of Saddam, are resuming their roles as the men and women who run Iraq.

Two thousand policemen - all cardholding party members - have put on the olive green, or the grey-and-white uniforms of traffic wardens, and returned to the streets of Baghdad at America's invitation.

Dozens of minders from the information ministry, who spied on foreign journalists for the security agencies, have returned to the Palestine Hotel where most reporters stay, offering their services as translators to unwitting new arrivals.

Seasoned bureaucrats at the oil ministry - including the brother of General Amer Saadi, the chemical weapons expert now in American custody - have been offered their jobs back by the US military. Feelers have also gone out to Saddam's health minister, despite past American charges that Iraqi hospitals stole medicine from the sick.

It has become increasingly apparent that Washington cannot restore governance to Baghdad without resorting to the party which for decades controlled every aspect of life under the regime.

It has equally become apparent that the Ba'ath party - whose neighbourhood spy cells were as feared as the state intelligence apparatus - will survive in some form, either through the appeal of its founding ideals, or through the rank opportunism of its millions of members.

"The coming bureaucracy will be overwhelmed by Ba'athists. They had loyalty to Saddam Hussein, and now they have loyalty to foreign invaders," said Wamidh Nadhmi, a political science professor at Baghdad University who broke with the Ba'ath in 1961, and is trying to organise a new political grouping.

The Ba'athist project of reinvention gathered pace at the weekend when the Iraqi Writers' Union - who received salaries for poems for Saddam - held a meeting at which they claimed to have been secret opponents of the regime for years.

At the same time, remnants of the regime see no reason to abandon a party that has been around since 1947.

"The Arab Ba'ath Socialist party was not Saddam Hussein's idea. Like Marxism, it was not founded by Lenin and Stalin. It is an idea. That is why the Arab masses sup ported Iraq, not because of Saddam Hussein, but because of ideas," said a senior culture bureaucrat.

The resurrection of the Ba'ath is, in part, acknowledgment of the daunting reality of governing a country as complex and battered as Iraq. Under Saddam membership was mandatory for teachers, police, the army, and senior posts in hospitals, universities, banks and the civil service.

Local party bosses, or mukhtars, dispensed marriage licences, pressganged locals into militias, and organised parades in honour of Saddam. They also winnowed out potential neighbourhood traitors, destroying the lives of the millions who fell foul of the regime.

That elite - dominated by the Sunni minority which has governed Iraq since the Ottoman empire - remains the major source of local talent for the new US administration.

Now, though the party cadre has been orphaned by the flight of Saddam and the upper echelons, local party bosses and bureaucrats who joined up strictly for career advancement see no reason to step aside. "I haven't hurt anyone, and the people love me," said Haji Talat, the boss of Adhamiya, with direct charge for 4,000 households.

The northern neighbourhood was the most solidly Ba'athist of Baghdad - so secure that Saddam did a walkabout there just three days before the US tanks rolled in.

Mr Talat has taken down his photo of Saddam but he is not willing to relinquish his control. "I had to go along with the regime because otherwise they would turn me into cinnamon. But the people know me. The bad mukhtars might go now, but the good ones will stay," he said.

Such attitudes prevail even in poorer neighbourhoods, such as the Jamila suburb of Baghdad, where there was more resentment of the Ba'ath. "In our circumstances, it is necessary to work with the Americans to keep order, but later we might not agree," said Rahim Ahmoud, a mukhtar of eight years.

The prospects for the survival of the Ba'ath have been enhanced by the chaos of these early days of the US military occupation. There is also no serious challenge to its iron grip.

The party, with its secular principles - though trampled on by Saddam's cynical use of religion - also represents a bulwark against a nascent Islamist movement among Iraq's disenfranchised Shia majority.

For middle class Iraqis, the declarations for religious self-rule now emanating from mosques in Baghdad and southern cities are deeply troubling. The new assertiveness by the Shia clergy probably does not sit very well with the Americans either. So that leaves the Ba'ath.

"The Ba'ath party was the right hand to Saddam," said Hind Mahmoud, a computer programmer at one of the nationalist banks sacked by the looters. For people like Ms Mahmoud, faith in the party, and in its future role in Iraq, remains undimmed: "No one can take the place of the Ba'ath party. The Ba'ath party has experience - doctors and managers and scientists. It works in everything."

This is important email for anyone to read. It is brief, simple and to the point and we need to hear more of these voices of people who experienced firsthand the results of Hitler's dictatorship. It is a response to another man's very accurate depiction of the sorry state of the Union. I know others this man's age who also fought in the Big One and they don't like what is happening either. And they are the Greatest Generation, far more noble and honorable than we are today and I am very sad to see them passing as the years go by. We should all take our hats off to the good men and women of that era when America was still a proud and moral nation, still ruled by law and still a Constitutional Republic. Now that is all but gone.

Now a dictator, puppet of the Eastern Establishment Skull & Bones Nazis, a minion of the New World Order globalists and yes, a co-conspirator with Communists at the top level in Red China and the USSR, has seized power using the oldest trick in Hitler's playbook--TERROR. Terror and subcontract-terrorists that his cronies, including his old man, have funded and fomented, shepherded and protected all along the way to 9/11. Carefully manipulating people with such fear, he comes dressed up as an angel of light on a white steed to appear to save us from the Evil Ones, as he calls them. Instead he is presiding over the destruction of America and the systematic repression of all our freedoms under the pretext of "Homeland Security" modeled after the Gestapo and the Security Service of Nazi Germany. I don't think I need to say more about that, but please make strong efforts to inform others of this who are still afflicted with mass-media brainwashing. Keep throwing the facts in their faces until they can no longer dispute you. We cannot take our country back unless the people are educated and quick!

I am 81 years old and a veteran of WW2. I remember what the Nazi's were doing in Germany very well. Here in America our government is getting dangerously close to acting just like the Nazi's were in Germany and the Germans were doing it for 'better security' as we are doing.

The Germans got more and more paranoid (of their own people) and began watching all Germans and tightened security, and made Germans carry and show identity papers whenever the police and soldiers wanted to see them. They had German kids telling on their parents. It was a horror.

We are starting down the same path. The excuse is that we need to do this to protect our Citizens but the trouble is more and more of our freedoms are going and we are beginning to be like a gigantic outdoor prison.

It is not like the America I love and fought for. I fought for the freedom of Americans and not for a selfish United Stated Corporation which is more interested in money and power than it is in the People of America.

I don't look and see a kindly Uncle Sam anymore. I see a bullying Big Brother. Sorry to be so blunt but it is how I feel....

About this Bush Administration...

Turn off the sound on that television, and stop reading those quotes in the newspaper. Take a step back and watch what they do, then compare that to what you know is true. Now begin to form an analysis.

I did, and here is what I considered:

There are a relatively limited number of people of Middle-Eastern origin here in the United States.

We know that terrorist acts carried out on our soil on 9/11/02 and since have been committed by Middle Eastern men who were not citizens of the United States.

We know that it would be relatively easy to locate and deport Middle Eastern persons who are here illegally, visiting on a visa or here on a green card, and we know there is no serious effort on the part of this administration to locate and deport them.

In the meantime, this administration has pushed through both the House and Senate the so-called "Patriot Act" which violates and indeed rapes, some of the most basic and fundamental rights afforded the citizens by the Constitution of the United States and Bill of Rights. We know it allows the government to search a person's home without his/her knowledge, and to withhold from the victim the reason for the search, among other atrocities.

We know this president has used an unconstitutional Executive Order to reclassify two United States citizens as "Enemy Combatants" following their arrest on American soil, although they were never involved in combat with American troops or their allies, and we know the so-called War on Terror is not a war that has been legally declared -- nor can it be, since no enemy nation can specifically be named unless we declare war on most of the Arab nations and Iran. The War on Terror is merely a federal government operation of no greater legal significance than the so-called War on Drugs.

As Enemy Combatants, those two citizens have been denied legal counsel, a trial and their right to face their accusers. Further, the alleged evidence against the two has never been presented to the American public, allegedly for "security" reasons, which means the evidence may not even exist, and yet the two are to be held in prison indefinitely. We know this administration could use the same tactics to incarcerate any citizen at any time right now, and that no general outrage has been expressed by the American public to date.

Okay, now on the basis of the above, does it appear the United States government is taking solid action to prevent further terror committed by non-citizen men of Middle Eastern origin? On the basis of the above, was the Patriot Act and the Executive Order to reclassify American citizens an Enemy Combatants limited to a foreign enemy known to have committed terrorist acts since 9/11/02? You know the answer.

"The Terrorism Information and Prevention System, or TIPS, means the US will have a higher percentage of citizen informants than the former East Germany through the infamous Stasi secret police. The program would use a minimum of 4 per cent of Americans to report "suspicious activity"."

You don't need that many snitches to identify and deport the relatively few Middle Eastern non-citizens in this country who pose the most immediate threat to American lives and infrastructure. Are you with me so far?

My analysis of these acts, regardless of the government rhetoric to the contrary, is that these actions have been taken to hinder a massive general uprising in the American population that this administration is anticipating. I do not specifically know their concerns, but I do believe they are anticipating something that they are not divulging at this time.
