Thieves Drill Gas Tanks To Steal Fuel

PLYMOUTH — Police say it’s a 1970s crime wave all over again. Only this time, thieves drilled into gas tanks instead of siphoning to steal fuel.
Someone cut through a fence at King Collision on Holman Road, drilled holes into gas tanks on a pickup truck and mini-van, and stole 30 to 40 gallons of gas, police said.
The incident was discovered by company officials just before 9 a.m. Tuesday.
About five hours later, an 80-year-old Duxbury woman discovered that someone had done the same thing to her car.
Police said the woman parked her car on Aldrin Road Monday night with about three-quarters of a tank of gas.
The tank was empty when she returned to the car about 1 p.m. Tuesday. When she filled it up again, the gas ran out through three holes drilled into the tank, police said.
“This is like back in the gas crisis in the ’70s,” Plymouth Capt. Michael Belmont said. “Only then they used siphons.”

Jean-Claude Juncker, the EU's 'Mr Euro', has given the clearest warning to date that the world authorities may take action to halt the collapse of the dollar and undercut commodity speculation by hedge funds.
Momentum traders have blithely ignored last week's accord by the G7 powers, which described "sharp fluctuations in major currencies" as a threat to economic and financial stability. The euro has surged to fresh records this week, touching $1.5982 against the dollar and £0.8098 against sterling yesterday.
"I don't have the impression that financial markets and other actors have correctly and entirely understood the message of the G7 meeting," he said.

Citigroup Hit With $5.1 Billion Loss

US banking giant Citigroup reported Friday a first-quarter net loss of 5.1 billion dollars, hurt by at least 12 billion dollars in write-downs amid soured subprime investments and rising credit costs.
Earnings per share were a negative 1.02 dollars, a steeper than the 95-cent loss that most analysts' forecast.
It was the second consecutive quarterly loss for the banking titan, hammered by the subprime, or high-risk, mortgage crisis stemming from the worst US housing slump in decades and signs of recession in the world's biggest economy.
Citigroup is now the US bank hardest hit by the subprime crisis that erupted in August, wreaking havoc on financial markets and leading to a credit squeeze that is damping growth in the global economy.
The bank has taken more than 30 billion dollars in write-downs, more than peer Merrill Lynch, which reported Thursday a net loss of two billion dollars and write-downs of up to nine billion dollars.
Citigroup said the first-quarter net loss was mainly driven by fixed-income results and higher consumer credit costs.
Citigroup took six billion dollars in pre-tax write-downs and credit costs on subprime-related direct exposures, 3.1 billion dollars on funded and unfunded highly leveraged finance commitments, a downward credit value adjustment of 1.5 billion dollars related to exposure to monoline, or municipal bond, insurers, and 1.5 billion dollars on auction rate securities inventory.
It also reported a 3.1-billion-dollar increase in credit costs in its global consumer business, including a loss of 1.7 billion dollars and a reserve for bad loans of 1.3 billion dollars.
Vikram Pandit, Citi chief executive, said the financial results "reflect the continuation of the unprecedented market and credit environment and its impact on our historical risk positions."
Pandit said that during the first quarter, valuations of the bank's subprime-related exposures in fixed-income markets and leveraged finance assets had further declined and credit costs in its consumer lending businesses had increased.
"Despite the negative factors in the broader markets, we continue to see strong momentum throughout the organization with robust volumes in many of our products and regions," he said.
"We have taken decisive and significant actions to strengthen our balance sheet, including over 30 billion dollars of capital raised during December and January," he said.
Pandit noted that the bank recently reorganized its businesses along regional and product lines.
"As we move into the second quarter and beyond, we will continue to divest non-strategic assets and allocate capital to the products and regions that will drive increased revenues, enhance the value of our franchise, and ultimately, maximize shareholder value," he said.
Citigroup announced in January a fourth-quarter net loss of 9.83 billion dollars, dragged down by soured mortgage investments.

White House Defends NAFTA

The White House on Friday vigorously defended the 14-year-old free-trade agreement among the United States, Mexico and Canada against sharp criticism from Democratic presidential candidates Hillary Rodham Clinton and Barack Obama.
"There's nothing broken. Why fix it?" said Dan Fisk, senior director of Western hemisphere affairs for National Security Council. He acknowledged the administration must do a better job of explaining the benefits of the agreement.
Both Clinton and Obama have threatened to pull out of the North American Free Trade Agreement to pressure Canada and Mexico to negotiate more protections for workers and the environment in the agreement. The accord has removed most barriers to trade and investment among the three countries.
NAFTA will be a major topic when President Bush joins Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper and Mexican President Felipe Calderon in New Orleans on Monday and Tuesday for his fourth and final North American Leaders' Summit.
Bush has suffered a major setback on the trade front with the derailing of a proposed free-trade pact with Colombia. Bush sent the agreement to Capitol Hill earlier this month, but the House, led by Democrats, decided to eliminate a rule forcing a vote on the deal within 60 legislative days. The House's decision probably kills consideration of the agreement this year, leaving it for the next administration.
"Leaders in Congress have made a serious error," Bush said in a speech. "A serious error for economics reasons. A serious error for security reasons. It's not too late, however, for them to get it right."
On NAFTA, the White House contends the agreement has been a boon for the economies of all three countries. Three-way trade has swelled from roughly $290 billion in 1994 to about $1 trillion by the end of this year, Fisk said at a briefing on next week's summit.
"We think NAFTA works," he said. Fisk said the criticism from the campaign trail has gotten a lot of attention from U.S. trading partners. "Some of the statements that have been made here have made bigger headlines in Canada and Mexico than they have here," he said.
"We want to find ways to, frankly, convince the American people from our perspective first and foremost that this is an arrangement that has worked for us and it's also worked for our neighbors," he said. "It's been a win-win situation."

Memphis Conducts Anti-Terrorism Initiative

Shelby County Sheriff's deputies arrested 71 people, including 31 fugitives, during a 24-hour street sweep that ended about a half hour after sunrise Sunday.
The sheriff's office and 50 federal, state and local law enforcement agencies pulled over cars, climbed on boats on the Mississippi River and served fugitive warrants as part of an "anti-terrorism initiative," called Operation Sudden Impact.
It was the first time that many agencies joined forces for such a large sweep, said Shelby County Sheriff Mark Luttrell, whose office coordinated the operation.
Even though Memphis hasn't suffered a terrorist attack, the city is using federal grants to fight crime, which might lead to the discovery of a terrorist suspect. Other cities are using federal money with similar programs.
"Our community is considered an international distribution center and is a possible target for terrorists," said Capt. Dale Lane, commander of the Sheriff's Office Homeland Security Bureau.
The 100 sheriff's deputies working Saturday night and Sunday morning also recovered 12.2 grams of heroin, 19 syringes and seized $1,795. They issued citations for 202 traffic violations.
Information gathered in the sweep will be reviewed by intelligence officers at the local Homeland Security center. The information will be forwarded to the state's Homeland Security center in Nashville.
Other agencies that participated in the sweep will release results from their departments today.

Over in Memphis, which has been deemed a terrorist target, federal, state and local law enforcement agencies conduct a weekend sweep to justify the expenditure of federal grant dollars.
In addition to the traffic violations, here was the result: The 100 sheriff's deputies working Saturday night and Sunday morning also recovered 12.2 grams of heroin, 19 syringes and seized $1,795.
Geez. Five officers on Beale Street could bring in a bigger haul than that. I'd hate to know how much these kind of chest-beating shows cost.
But, hey, they did average just over one traffic citation per officer. In the world of the feds, I guess that's considered cost effective.

A French civil servant was sacked in late March for publishing what has been widely reported as a “violent anti-Israeli diatribe” on the oumma.com website, a crime that was investigated by no less than Interior Minister Michele Alliot-Marie. Bruno Guigue, deputy prefect of Saintes, wrote that Israel was “the only state where snipers shoot down little girls outside their school gates.” The author of several books on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, Guigue also wrote of “Israeli jails where — thanks to religious law — they stop torturing on the Sabbath.”
“This is just the tip of the iceberg,” Russian-Israeli author Israel Shamir told Al-Ahram Weekly. “There are thousands of people sentenced and imprisoned for similar ‘crimes’, mainly in Germany and Austria, more than all the dissidents ever imprisoned in Soviet Russia. The majority of these cases never reach public awareness.”
That a lowly sous-prefet became the subject of the interior minister’s personal intervention for stating the above is astounding, just one example of the heavy hand of the Israeli lobby in Europe. Bruno Guigue’s real “crime”, it’s quite clear, was to criticise the state of Israel.
Though not a “Holocaust denier”, Guigue is suffering a similar fate as his fellow anti-Zionists who are prosecuted under the anti-Holocaust denial laws, currently on the books in 12 European countries. The most notorious victims of these laws are writers David Irving and Ernst Zundel, who were jailed for questioning the extent of the death toll of Jews during WWII and the insistence that the Nazis had a plan to kill all Jews (Roma, homosexuals and Communists are forgotten in the brouhaha) as opposed to ethnically cleansing Europe.
Though an essential weapon in Israel’s political arsenal, according to Shamir, these laws are not usually invoked; they are intended more as a warning. Rather, writers and their publishers are sued under broader libel laws, as was Norman Finkelstein, the son of Holocaust survivors, and his French publisher Aden Brussels in 2004, when he was accused of Holocaust revisionism and incitement to antisemitism. The Simon Wiesenthal Centre Director for International Liaison Shimon Samuels testified: “Finkelstein’s thesis is an extremist attack on Jews in general, and American Jews in particular, accusing them of exploiting the suffering of the Shoah as a ‘pretext for their crimes in the context of the Middle-East conflict’. This thesis constitutes the principal credo of modern antisemitism. He exploits his own Jewish antecedents in order to attack as ‘racist’ specific Jewish leaders, their organisations and the Jewish people. I am convinced that only a judicial penalty will contain the damage wreaked by this particularly offensive libel.”
Samuels compared Finkelstein to Roger Garaudy, a respected Marxist philosopher who himself spent three years in a concentration camp in WWII, who was convicted in France under the Gayssot Law in 1996, which he argued “restores the law, abolished after Vichy, that defines questioning of official truth as a criminal offence. It restores discrimination against anybody who does not submit to one-track thought and to the cult of politically correct taboos imposed by American leaders and their Western mercenaries, especially the Israelis.”
The French edition of “Flowers of Galilee” by Shamir, “a book teeming with incitement to racial hatred” according to Prosecutor Marc Levy, was seized and actually burned, and his publisher Cherifi fined in 2005. At the request of the International League Against Racism and Anti-Semitism (LICRA), French judges indicted him for arguing that, “the very concept of Holocaust is a concept of Jewish superiority”, and for referring to the Protocols of the Elders of Zion as a “political pamphlet”. Ironically, the arrest warrant, if honoured, would have meant deporting him from Israel to France “to be tried for my stand against Jewish hegemony”. He told the Weekly he considered the conviction a compliment, putting him in a class with “the great list of authors whose books were burned and banished in France, from Voltaire to Baudelaire, from Nabokov to Joyce, from Wilhelm Reich to Vladimir Lenin.”
None of the above writers convicted in this witch hunt has ever advocated physical violence against Jews. Shamir and Finkelstein are Jews themselves, though, true, Shamir converted to Christianity. Shamir told the Weekly that “where public criticism of Israel is absent from public discourse, painting a swastika on a Jewish grave is not an act of racism, but rather a protest against Israeli atrocities,” and argues that the stranglehold of the Zionists in European society actually incites anti-Jewish sentiment. He went on to argue that this is precisely what they want, in order to complete the ethnic cleansing of Europe that Hitler clearly intended. “If Jewish fears of racism can be stoked, Jews will migrate to Israel, the Zionists’ goal.”
Vichy thought crimes, book burning, ethnic cleansing — all recall the policies of the very Nazis that the Zionists rail against.
But there are signs that the jig may be up. Even pro-Israeli writer Deborah Lipstadt, despite her legal battle with British historian David Irving, is against the Holocaust denial laws, as are most historians and prominent writers such as Timothy Garton Ash, including Jews such as Noam Chomsky.
In 1996 Garaudy wrote: “In the flood of insults, nobody has contested my analysis of the control of American politics by the Israeli lobby and of the financing of the state of Israel as a proxy of American politics in the Middle East.” Yet this is now the core of a bestselling American analysis of the Israeli lobby, and the outspoken belief of US law professor Richard Falk, who as a UN advisor, compared Israeli policies with regard to the Palestinians to the Nazi-Germany record of collective punishment. Despite shrill condemnation by Israel, he was nevertheless appointed in March to a six-year term as UN Human Rights Committee investigator of Israeli actions in the Palestinian territories.
For journalist Ash, the turning point was in 2006, when the French national assembly approved a law making it a crime to deny that the Turks committed genocide against the Armenians during the first world war. He wrote in exasperation that perhaps the European parliament should make it obligatory to describe as genocide the American colonists’ treatment of Native Americans. “No one can legislate historical truth. In so far as historical truth can be established at all, it must be found by unfettered historical research, with historians arguing over the evidence and the facts, testing and disputing each other’s claims without fear of prosecution or persecution.”
After an appeal, Shamir launched a new French edition of his banned book (which was always available on the Internet anyway) in 2006 and published a French edition of essays “Our Lady of Sorrows” with much more interest than if it had been simply ignored by the establishment.
The Holocaust denial law was repealed in Slovakia in 2005 and Spain decriminalised Holocaust denial in October 2007. However, though Holocaust fatigue appears to be setting in as Israel celebrates its 60th anniversary of independence, Zionist cultural hegemony in Europe is still strong. After decriminalisation of denial in Spain, Spanish courts meted a long jail sentence to publisher Pedro Varela of Barcelona and demanded the pulping of thousands of books, including one of Shamir’s.

THE SPIRAL STAIRCASE TO REVOLUTION

Most ordinary Americans grow up with their viewpoints of their world shaped, from childhood, by the oil-soaked, spy-riddled, war-mongering monopoly press.
[1] EDUCATION- High School. Their school textbooks, whether in public or parochial school, are put together and published on behalf of the Establishment, "the powers that be", the Ruling Class, the Ultra-Rich, whatever you call THEM. That is, by the Aristocracy, those unseen, mostly unpublicized, mostly unphotographed persons who govern us without the consent of the governed. They violate the Social Compact that underlies our organic law, the U.S. Constitution. Seldom mentioned, is that the Bill of Rights were made necessary to add to the Constitution, to make the Constitution acceptable. Minus the Bill of Rights, the U.S. Constitution, in the view of some, is a more ordinary plan for parliamentary government.
Who notices? The Bill of Rights, in most every Amendment in the beginning, has the word NO in it. A chain upon the central government. The State constitutions, on the other hand, basically support and grant rights, and state privileges and immunities.
So, high school and middle school students' understanding of history, geography,science, mathematics---all are molded and dispensed to squeeze the young into mainstream viewpoints.
Every war in the history of the nation is inevitably, in these textbooks, described as being about the common people and their sons and daughters supposedly fighting for "freedom". This being so, even if ordinary Americans were sent off to fight a war on the other side of an ocean, at a time in history when the oceans protected us from Europe's quarrrels. We do not accept George Washingtion's Farewell Address wisely warning us to avoid foreign entanglements.
Someone in a high school in an upscale suburban neighborhood once invited me to lecture to a group of students gathered from five classrooms. Among other things, I set forth details about the generally unmentioned history of judicial corruption, the venality of the Bench and the Bar and the newsfakers. And also how we Americans were suckered by the British, through monstrous lies in the captive press, to get involved in their forever-wars in Continental Europe, such as World War One.
I told the students about a huge passenger ship that was actually a secret armaments carrier and the pre-arranged sinking of the ship, in 1915, was a road to embroiling America into Europe's endless wars.
In 1916, President Woodrow Wilson ran for re-election as a supposed "peace candidate", actually a shill for the war-profiteers. In those years, presidential Inaugurals were in March. Just a few weeks after being inaugurated this supposed Peace Candidate, in April, 1917, began to send by a draft, thousands of young Americans to be poison gassed and wounded or slaughtered in Europe's war. The war was advance planned by the formation, in 1912, of an unconstitutional PRIVATE central bank, the Federal Reserve, masquerading as a "U.S. Government" entity. The purpose was to suck the treasure out of the U.S. to support Great Britain, starting in 1914. England did not have their own money for the weapons they needed and used.
During the question and answer period after my speech to the students, I dared address my own question to a very handsome teacher there, who I understood was a favorite at the school.
"Sir, do you tell your students, who evidently like you a lot---do you tell them how Americans were tricked into getting involved later in Europe's war by the pre-arranged sinking in 1915 of the huge passenger ship, the 'Lusitania'?"
With all the students turning to look at him, he stood up and responded, "It is not in the textbook, not part of the curriculum." So I added, "Can you point to something I said that was a lie?"
His face starting to get red, he answered, "I believe you are telling the truth, but I am not permitted to go into such things and keep my job." Most all the students kept waiting, perhaps for him to finally call me a liar. He repeated, "What you say is true."
A student, changing the subject, stood up and hollared at me, "My father is a lawyer. Tell me, who arranged for you to come here and us big lies, slandering judges and lawyers? My dad told me that you are just a big liar."
This occurred ten years after I as the head of our court-reform group set off, in 1969, the biggest judicial bribery scandal in U.S. history, causing the downfall of Illinois' highest tribunal, the Illinois Supreme Court. (By 2001, the scandal became belatedly a subject of a book, "Illinois Justice", by Kenneth A. Manaster. The cover of the book and a brief description is on our website homepage.)

The day after my high school speech, my listed phone rang repeatedly. The callers were all parents of the students, shouting at me, "My children came home from school crying what you did to their teacher. Who the Hell are you, anyway, promoting big lies. You upset the children and their favorite teacher, with such nonsense. The nerve of you, telling the kids the bench and the bar are corrupt." Most did not wish to hear any explanations from me.
[2] EDUCATION. Colleges and Universities. The mass media brainwash young people. That they have to go to college to succeed; at least that is what young people are told. So students figure a college diploma is a "meal ticket", the open door to a high-paying job.
On radio talk shows I dare say, "It costs about 33 thousand dollars tuition per year to go to a fancy university. And that is plus a car and other expenses. In a bad downturn in business, can a graduate hope to be assured of making WAGES of 33 thousand dollars per year?" And, who bothers to point out, that most of enterprising, creative people did NOT go to, or graduate from, a university? That is, the progressive people who sometimes spend their lifetimes seeking, by their new ideas, to uplift their fellow humans.
[3] CLASS STRUCTURE. Because of a brainwashing system of higher and lower education, most ordinary Americans, unlike Europeans, are almost completely blank when it comes to understanding CLASS.
Notice these excerpts:
"...a lower class, consisting of at least nine-tenths of the population, supports an upper, ruling class consisting of several interlocking groups. These ruling groups are a governing bureaucracy of scribes and priests associated with army leaders, landlords, and moneylenders. Such an upper class accumulated great quantities of wealth as taxes, rents, interest on loans, fees for services, or simply financial extortions."
Could this become, more and more, a cynical description of the U.S.? It was actually about Latin America, written by a Georgetown University Professor, a near-insider, very well-informed on the Aristocracy, Carroll Quigley, author of "Tragedy and Hope---A History of the World in Our Time". Published in 1966, it was suppressed and kept out of circulation for decades thereafter. The excerpt is from page 1115.
Funny thing. Non-progressive U.S. politicians like to shoot-down the ideas of opponents, by saying, "Let's not have any class warfare talk here." Really?
The supposed existence of a middle-income group, an in-between entity, is mis-named as the "Middle Class". Why? Because, if they do indeed exist. they are becoming a phantom. This middle group often despise the poor and stupidly in times of general prosperity seek to emulate the Ultra Rich. The middle group are, step by step, being crushed and made extinct, by the realities of law and finance.
Popular wisdom falsely promotes the view that "revolutions" are made by the poor, the often illiterate, poorly educated (mostly on purpose by the Ultra Rich), sometimes sullen, low-income people. Yet, these folks are smart to the extent that they are survivors, knowing how to keep going even in bad times on little income.
It is not mentioned often enough, if at all, that cutting off the dreams and aspirations of the so-called "middle class" or middle income types, inevitably leads to revolution. Better educated than most, they have some ideas where the super rich operate and reside.
On the other hand, a very well-informed, outspoken lawyer, Shelly Waxman, J.D., wrote a book called "In the Teeth of the Wind: A Study of Power and How to Fight It". (The book is available through the website
He tells of the eight stages of Revolution (which he details,page 260-264), on page 261:
"Grumbling. Muttering in discontent.
Fomentation. Promotion of the growth or development of.
Fomentation. Movement to action; stirring on; spurring on.
Rebellion. Implies an open formidable resistance that is often unsuccessful.
Uprising. Implies a brief, limited and oten immediately ineffective rebellion.
Insurgency. The quality or state of being insurgent, specifically: a condition of revolt against a government that is less than an organized revolution and that is not recognized as belligerency.
Revolt. To renounce allegiance or subjection (as to a government).
Revolution. Applies to a successful rebellion resulting in a major change (as in government)."
[4] FEDERAL RESERVE. As of the date of this article, some go into the unthinkable thought. Namely, that the U.S. Treasury, with their unlawful agent collecting interest on government paper; namely, being the PRIVATE central bank calling itself with a government-sounding name, Federal Reserve, may renounce the out-of-control debt, by defaulting or otherwise repudiating U.S. Treasury Bills, Notes, and Bond. These Treasury securities for which the Fed is unconstitutional agent, have been issued from time to time more or less At Par, meaning, a hundred dollars for a hundred dollars face value. They fluctuate up and down after issuance, so that the yield on the market is the current interest rate.
In the near collapse in 1980-1981, of U.S. Treasury paper, the price of some issues of Treasury securities, because of acts by the Fed, sold for as little as 75 cents on the dollar and yielded 16-1/2 per cent.[Our website series "Sucker Traps" goes into the matter of U.S. Treasury securities.]
One of the main purposes, if not the actual primary purpose, of the Federal Reserve ordering interest rates up, is to prevent the hemorrhaging out of this country of so-called U.S. paper money. Interest rates currently being at a near-historic low, raising the interest rates would cause a widespread real estate collapse. This being so, since real estate is one of the few, unregulated free markets in the U.S. Particularly vulnerable are ARMs (Adjustable Rate Mortgages). Currently, reportedly threatening each other is Federal Reserve Commissar Alan Greenspan and George W. Bush, currently the occupant and resident of the White House (installed by a military-style five-person Junta of the U.S. Supreme Court). To protect the so-called "U.S. Dollar", Greenspan wants to raise the interest rates. Bush says NO. So that common Americans, for example, are pushed into Chapter 13, where their properties are plundered instead of saved, by way of the corrupt "Bankruptcy Club", made up of a few handfuls of crooked judges, lawyers, and court clerks, primarily in big cities, like Chicago, Los Angeles, San Francisco, and such.

Were a jury trial permitted from the beginning as in other suits for damage claims, the worker might get a hefty award. But under the Workmens' Compensation laws, the worker most often get a pittance. Yes, the worker has a right to a later, cumbersome appeal to the regular court system which often rejects any appeal remedy with little formality.
So, who says workers have equal rights? Corporations, on the other hand, submit THEIR claims against workers to Banker-Judges, heavily favoring the corporate interests.
[9] REVOLUTION that is designed to fail? Who wants that? Obviously the Aristocracy. Seldom if ever mentioned: there has been no genuine revolution in what is now called the United States of America, or whatever led up to the same. The so-called American Revolutionary War is wrongly-named. It was merely the American business interests sore at the London government about collecting taxes.
In the 1930s, a charming, patrician President, Franklin Delano Roosevelt, was falsely described by the media fakers as a traitor to his class. In truth, he was the greatest counter-revolutionary in American history. Because of widespread hardships in the Great Depression, America was at the point of Revolution. At that time, however, there was a large number of foreign born---if they had to sleep under bridges when it rains, they preferred to do so in America, not in Europe. By giving a very few benefits to the unemployed, Roosevelt, to aid the Aristocracy, headed off a possibly real revolution. His declaration in 1933 of a Bank Holiday, saved the huge money center bankers while swallowing up the numerous local community banks.

NEW YORK (AP) -- The souring job market and rising costs of the usual teenage indulgences - a slice of pizza, a drive to the mall, the hottest new jeans - are causing teens to do something they rarely do: be thrifty.
It's a far cry from the freewheeling spending of recent years, when teens splurged on $100 Coach wristlet handbags, $60 Juicy Couture T-shirts and $80 skinny jeans from Abercrombie & Fitch.
Now jobs for teens are less plentiful, and parents who supply the allowances are feeling the economic pinch themselves.
The stalwart retailers of teen apparel, such as Abercrombie and American Eagle Outfitters Inc., are reporting sluggish sales, defying the myth that teen spending is recession-proof: It holds up longer, but can eventually fold.
It's even becoming cool to be frugal.
Last week, Ellegirl.com, the teen offshoot of Elle magazine, launched a new video fixture called Self-Made Girl, which shows teens how to make clothes and accessories. The first video offers tips on how to create a prom clutch. "It's a little tacky in the economic unrest to tote a big logo bag," said Holly Siegel, the site's senior editor. She said it's no longer about teens "one-upping each other," but rather where they can get it cheap.
Victoria Bradley, a 16-year-old from Springfield, Mo., says the $80 she earns each month from baby-sitting is being eaten up by more expensive school lunches, late-night snacks with friends and stylish clothes.
Now, she says, she and her friends head for the thrift store or just browse at the mall. "I used to be able to buy a T-shirt and s, cell phones and headsets, analysts say.
What makes this slump different, says Deloitte Research chief economist Carl Steidtmann, is the soaring cost of basics such food and gas, which have a direct impact on younger consumers.
Gas could reach $4 a gallon this summer, and prices for teen favorites like pizza and potato chips have all climbed, squeezing the amount of cash teens can spend elsewhere.
Sales at teen retailers open at least a year averaged a 0.5 percent decline last year, compared to a 3.3 percent increase in 2006 and a 12.1 percent gain in 2005, according to a UBS-International Council of Shopping Centers tally.
Retailers like American Eagle and Tween Brands Inc., which operates Limited Too, have cut their earnings outlooks amid deeper-than-expected sales declines. Abercrombie & Fitch reported a disappointing 10 percent sales drop in March, while Pacific Sunwear of California Inc. announced earlier this year it was shuttering its urban-inspired Demo stores.
Among the few bright spots is Aeropostale Inc., whose jeans are about 30 percent cheaper than Abercrombie & Fitch. Candace Corlett, principal at consulting firm WSL Strategic Retail, said low-price chains like H&M and Steve & Barry's should do well.
And Urban Outfitters Inc., which operates its namesake stores and the Anthropologie brand, has held up well. Trend experts believe that's because it has a thrift-store feel.
Secondhand clothing chains have seen business surge this year as teens and their parents buy popular brands like Gap, Banana Republic and Juicy Couture at a fraction of the regular price.
Kerstin Block, president and co-founder of Buffalo Exchange, a Tucson, Ariz.-based chain that sells second-hand clothing, said Gap jeans there run $9 to $20. A new pair runs $50 to $60. Block noted that buying second-hand is also appealing to a growing eco-friendly sentiment among teenagers.
"It is way cooler to get a super deal on that shirt rather than being able to spend the most money on something," said Anna D'Agrosa, director of Consumer Insights at The Zandl Group, a market research company focusing on teens. "Kids are becoming really aware of what is happening to their economy and to their families."

Astonishing as it is, the daily load of lies dumped on Americans by mainstream corporate media (CorpoMedia), lurking a step beyond is the reality of most of the lies finding belief. Respect of being told the truth is not earned by swallowing whatever lies are in the load—that simply earns what we have: CorpoMedia as the propaganda arm of our corporate-fascist federal government (CorpoGov). Millions still seem to believe that some kind of law dictates media honesty. But to CorpoMedia, truth, facts…largely illusion, often an enemy. Media conglomeration has left us with only a few monster corporations controlling virtually all mainstream “news”—a stupid liars’ gumbo rich with moral supremacy, victimization, innocence and righteousness cranked with MSG and corn syrup and fat. Sure can taste better than truth—even makes you want seconds. The stuff is hurtling us toward fact-free rule at the speed of lies—and then some.
Einstein’s Theory of Relativity states that matter can never achieve the speed of light, because at the speed of light, its mass becomes infinite. As a certain corollary, information can never reach the speed of lies because the mass would also become infinite. CorpoMedia has maneuvered around this limit with the overdrive, or “warp speed” of omission.
Enlightenment has nothing to do with CorpoMedia’s mission, it’s all about control. That meshes smoothly with CorpoGov, whose primary concern regarding average Americans is what people can be manipulated into believing—which appears to be just about anything. How meaningful is smarmy blather about the safety of Americans, and about their welfare in general, in light of such realities as the lists of questions where our troops are asked if they would kill Americans—even their own friends and family—for not fully cooperating with impending martial law? For simply questioning this Orwellian act, Daschle and Leahy were targeted for assassination with anthrax by right-wing elements of our own government having tight connections to the military. CorpoMedia responded with lush indignance as long as the anthrax might be blamed on Saddam or Osama—but when news leakage of the spores being Ames strain from our American Army labs spoiled the “foreign” terrorist fantasy, lies hitched the story to omission, and, whooosh! But the terror in Democrats of not toeing the exact CorpoGov line remains.
Paul Wellstone spent 12 years as a “peoples’” Democratic Senator from Minnesota, courageously fighting for veterans, environmental protections, labor rights, campaign finance reform and better foreign policy, eventually becoming know as The Conscience of the Senate. Very early in his career,1991, at a White House reception for new members of Congress, Wellstone repeatedly told Bush Senior he should be more concerned about issues like education and health care. He also cautioned against the Persian Gulf “War”. President Bush was soon heard asking, “Who is this chickenshit?” Wellstone voted against that first invasion of Iraq. Near the end of his career, 9-11 spurred the already long-planned final invasion of Iraq. Just days before the vote in the Senate to authorize the invasion, Dick Cheney told Wellstone:
“If you vote against the war in Iraq, the Bush administration will do whatever is necessary to get you. There will be severe ramifications for you and the state of Minnesota.”
Two weeks after voting against the invasion, Paul Wellstone died in a plane crash, along with his wife Sheila, daughter Marcia, three campaign staffers and both pilots. CorpoGov lied extensively about weather conditions and pilot incompetence, until evidence became overwhelming that the plane had been brought down by electromagnetic weaponry few Americans even know about. Top Neocon Calls For Destruction Of Constitution

In a recent edition of the Austin-American Statesman a book review of Phillip Bobbitt’s new book Terror and Consent goes into how the book calls for the shredding of the Constitution. The article written by James E. McWilliams features an image of the Constitution being torn with a big bold headline that states “Everything must go.” The words “How to Fight Terrorism”, are put in place of where the Constitution is torn. The article is blatant propaganda to make people think that the answer to fight terrorism is to destroy the Constitution. As disgusting as this is, the contents of Bobbitt’s book advocates exactly what the picture depicts. Bobbitt endorses using nongovernmental organizations and multinational corporations to take over the roles and functions of nation states. He also endorses giving the United Nations the authority to wage war without approval from the Security Council and the use of non-lethal chemical weapons to fight terrorism. If he really wanted to end terrorism using non-lethal chemical weapons, he should be endorsing the use of non-lethal chemical weapons on the headquarters of the CIA, British Intelligence and Mossad because that’s where the majority of terrorism comes from. Of course, Bobbitt won't mention that fact.
Let’s look at a blurb from the Austin-American Statesman article that gets into some of the things that Bobbitt endorses in his book.
Bobbitt’s previous book, "The Shield of Achilles," explored the grand themes of warfare and state development, marking his penchant for the magnum opus. At nearly 700 pages (including more than 100 pages of notes), "Terror and Consent" follows suit, taking on a similarly big picture. If "we want to defeat state-shattering terror in the twenty-first century," Bobbitt writes, we will have to "transform the emerging constitutional order of the twenty-first century State."
Specifically, we must stop thinking like a nation state and start thinking like the "market state" that we are inevitably becoming. The nation state — a constitutional order dedicated to protecting and improving the material welfare of its citizens — served the United States well from the mid-19th century to the end of the Cold War. But Bobbitt contends it’s vulnerable to a new battery of threats. The accessibility of weapons of mass destruction, the globalization of international capital and the "universalization of culture" have eroded the conventional borders that once legitimated national security.
What’s needed is a constitutional order that takes its structural cues from multinational corporations and nongovernmental organizations, relying "less on law and regulation and more on market incentives" to expand people’s options. Such a market state keeps its finger on the pulse of consumer demand, advocates trade liberalization, is prone to the privatization of public works and "will outsource many functions." In the seminar rooms of political science departments this change is referred to as "neoliberalism" (on the streets, it is known as "globalization") — and Bobbitt, who is a geopolitical realist, believes we have no choice but to embrace it.
Simply put, Bobbitt is endorsing what the elites have long sought after and that’s a New World Order or a global government. Bobbitt advocates the destruction of the Constitution and the transfer of power to multinational corporations and nongovernmental organizations. This man is a traitor. In the New World Order that the elites envision, people will only have the illusion of choice via phony democratic rule. Real decisions will be made by multinational corporations and nongovernmental organizations behind the scenes. Unfortunately, what Bobbitt advocates is already happening considering initiatives such as the Security and Prosperity Partnership which seeks to dissolve the national borders between the Canada, United States and Mexico.
Bobbitt also endorses preemptive use of force by the United Nations without a Security Council authorization as well as the use of non-lethal chemical weapons to prevent terrorism. This is confirmed from a blurb in the Austin-American Statesman.
Bobbitt believes that the UN Charter should be amended to allow the preemptive use of force without a Security Council authorization, that the Geneva Conventions should be changed to forbid the indefinite containment of terrorist prisoners without trial and that we must, in cases in which the use of non-lethal chemical weapons could be used to prevent terror, be able to redefine such methods as "counterforce measures."
What is not mentioned in the article is what sort of non-lethal weapons he would advocate using. Considering that the public is having pharmaceutical drugs and fluoride dumped in their water, mercury put in their vaccines, pesticides sprayed over populated areas and all sorts of other horrors one has to ask if Bobbitt would endorse these methods to fight terrorism?
The war on terror is a proven fraud which makes Bobbitt’s book entirely irrelevant. He bases all of his conclusions off of something that is a lie. Bobbitt also refuses to acknowledge mainstream history which shows that anytime power is concentrated in the hands of a few it always turns out badly. Power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely, and the New World Order is seeking to gain absolute power. If they are successful in achieving this, we will see a tyranny like no other. The New World Order will be a global enslavement system in which advanced technology is used to dominate the people of the world. It is disgusting that Bobbitt prefers a system that concentrates power in the hands of the unelected few over the freedom and inalienable rights guaranteed by the Constitution. It is insane to say that the Constitution is outdated and a new form of governance is required in the 21st century. Free speech, the right to bear arms, the right not to have your home searched and personal belongings seized without a warrant are concepts that are just as applicable in the 21st century as they were in the 18th, 19th and 20th centuries. Bobbitt is an elitist hack and a traitor for the statements he is making in his book. While he has every right to say these things under the First Amendment, his statements undermines everything that has made this country special. What he doesn’t realize is that the New World Order will dispose of him like they will everyone else when they see that he is of no further use to their insanely corrupt and tyrannical system. Bobbitt is nothing more than another useful idiot for the New World Order enslavement system and he isn’t as smart as he thinks he is.

Jesse won a Federal injunction allowing a video deposition of Terry Lynn, but the US Dept of Prisons and FBI had filed motions to quash his video deposition of Terry. "On March 20, 2008, Plaintiff receive from the FBI's Philadelphia Office documents relate to information provided by informants to the FBI regarding: Tim McVeigh, Elohim City, the Aryan Republican Army or 'ARA', OKBOMB, BOMBROB, Richard Lee Guthrie and the Mid-West Bank Robbers, one of whom was Mark Thomas." ..." Donna Marazoff is or was the girlfriend of Mark Thomas and the mother of two of his children. The Court will recall that Thomas was a member of the Mid-West Bank Robbery Gang, a member of the Aryan Republican Army."
"With this background, the Marazoff 302 is very significant. In this 302, the FBI documents that Marazoff reported that prior to February of 1995, she and Thomas had been discussing the federal government's involvement in Waco and Ruby Ridge. According to Marazoff, Thomas became "very irritated" during that conversation and said: "We are going to get them. We are going to hit one of their buildings during the middle of the day. It's going to be a federal building. We will get sympathy if we bomb the building"[T]he people who will lose their loved ones, will realize how bad it feels." (Marazoff 302) (emphasis added).
"Interestingly, Thomas and the other Elohim City, ARA and Mid-West Bank Robbers crowd do not seem to have been subjects of interest to the FBI when it came to the bombing of the Murrah Building, and one has to wonder. Why? The answer to that question may likewise be the basis for the FBI Defendants' suspicious of Plaintiff's reason for advising the Court about this recent release of additional informant documents. This Saturday will be the 13th anniversary of the Bombing. That attack was the biggest act of domestic terrorism in the 20th Century and resulted in the deaths of 168 people, including 19 toddlers as well as hundreds of injured victims. Perhaps this approaching anniversary is why FBI Defendants' are so suspicious and wary of the motive behind Plaintiff's filing of the Notice of Release. But, if Plaintiff wante to present FBI Defendants in a bad light, he would have included the Marazoff 302 and similar FBI documents in his Notice of Release of additional informant documents. As Exit Medical Examiner at CCOM, St. Francis Hospital, I personally examined all five Special Ops Bomb Forensics Military Officers. One of the officers spent several hours provided extreme details of the scene, cause of the demolition and operational control of the site by Wakenhut Security. He wanted further testing from positive radiation exposure, and told me how the entire operation was run by FBI and ATF and how all their bags were weighed and scanned for radiation traces of removed debris particles and chunks. They were warned, "Don't remove any material from the site or we will track and kill you." When it became evident that he told me this information, he was court-martialed and I was summarily fired and threatened.
Your stomach wretches when you read the attached Marazoff 302 documents, the depos of Terry Lynn Nichols, death row Oklahoma cohabitant David Paul Hammer, Kevin Lagan, etc. and the news of additional bombs removed from the US Federal Murrah Building by local news. It is evident that a comprehensive criminal cover-up was and had been continued by FBI and the Dept of Prisons trying to block the video deposition of Terry Lynn Nichols. Terry's deposition is quite damning, and lined up with my affidavit attached and these other documents. We need a Grand Jury to obtain suppressed videotapes around the building and safe harbor for other whistleblowers to come forward for a new OKC Murrah Demolition investigation.
As we remember the Battles of Lexington and Concord on April 19th, 2008, Patriot's Day, remember it also memorialized the dates of OKC, Ruby Ridge and Waco in our souls. Only with a Grand Jury and indictments will we be free of future OKCs, 911s, and the nukes activated in multiple US Cities or release of pandemic death. OKC Murrah revelations are the 'can-opener' of 911 WTC Demolition. National crimes were committed with advanced explosives, micro-nukes, and thermate. A 'real 911 WTC Full Grand Jury Investigation' must follow swiftly and in parallel with the OKC revelations presented here on the 13th Anniversay of the OKC Murrah Demolition. It was the self-inflicted wound of OKC and 911 that propelled the USA into two and now a possible third unjustified and illegal war, blown the US Dollar and economy, and brought the world to the brink of WWIII.
Let us take a deep breath of hope, and invigorated with courage step forwarded into a tomorrow. In 1995 I worked at Penrose St. Francis Hospital in Colorado Springs, as an Occupational Physician for CCOM. We had many of the most classified contracts in the Colorado Springs area, including Falcon Air Force Base program employees, NORAD employees and classified ATMEL and Symbios Logic, etc. EMP proof and Supercomputer chip classified manufacturers.
My director, Dr. George Swinder MD, was unavailable when the Military Expert Forensic team was sent from Fort Carson to Oklahoma city and was just returning to the Springs for exit examinations. This duty fell to me to perform exit physicals and testing, for all five members of the team. One of the team requested sperm testing, stating, "I want to have kids." I replied sarcastically, " Go ahead, and have kids." He said, "No, you don't understand." I said, "What do you mean?" "Doc, you really don't know what happened at Oklahoma City do you?" I said, "Well I heard that an ammonium nitrate bomb was reported to have exploded killing 168 people."
He leaned forward, "See this rash on my arms, and chest, and legs. Check me doc. I want all the blood tests and do a sperm test." I was irritated now, "Now just a minute, I'm the doctor. If you don't come clean and tell me what you were exposed to I can't possibly know what type of tests to order. I was a biochemisty major, before going into medicine, and we do toxicology testing when there is suspected industrial exposures that put an employee in danger." He said, "You won't release my name or put this in your report to my superiors, will you. I know about doctor-patient confidentiality." "Well," I said, "I won't release your name, but if affects others, I can't say I won't release the information to the correct authorities."
"Doc, what happened in Oklahoma City wasn't caused by ammonium nitrate bomb in the small truck they say was parked by the building." "What are you saying?", I snapped back. "See this rash, it was caused by radiation. We broke three radiation detectors there. See, we were the same team that was sent to Riyad, Saudi Arabia and the bomb only blew the windows into the building. We estimated the explosion was by our calculations to be seven times more ammonium nitrate in that truck bomb. The whole front of the building was sheared off doc in Oklahoma; cleanest controlled detonation our munitions expert forensic team has seen ever. " "What!!", I blurted. "Yeah, we were examining the building site under Wakenhut armed guard, and told not to take any radioactive debris off the site, or they were ordered to shoot on site to kill. All our bags were searched and put through a detector, to make sure we didn't take any off site, or away from the place where they burried and concrete capped all the debris, again under armed Wakenhut guard." "You are telling me that the building was exploded with a nuclear device?", I said. Shaking with a now very pale and distant face, he grunted, "Yeah!". "Oh my God!, and how did this happen?", I inquired.
"There were micronuclear bombs placed on support pillars in the walls of the Federal Building, by special units of the ATF and FBI. They were paged out not to enter the building on the morning of the detonation, and the Federal Judge was warned to cancel court that day. We removed to undetonated softball sized micronuclear bombs, and one C4 pineapple bomb, attached to the pillars of the remaining building." "I can't believe this story!", I blurted. "Well, doc are you going to test me?", now sweating and shaking more violently with anguish at these revelations. "I will order some more tests of your blood cells that will rule out radiation effects on your blood cells and bone marrow. As for the sperm count and morphology testing, you need to just go to your primary family doctor's office, and I am sure he will do this for you. Call me with the results, and I can interpret if there are any abnormalities." "Ok" Looking relieved, "thanks for listening to what happened to us doc."
This story dialogue was very disturbing, and I told my wife Michelle that night, placed the information of the 'shelf', and hoped that he was lying, but I had an aching feeling of serious doubt that continued until other events proved to me he was right on with the details of the Oklahoma Murah Building detonation by the NWO.
ADDENDUM:
April 23rd 2007
During my interview with the Special Ops officer mentioned that there were high velocity cutting charges in the building, placed by special ops wacco units of FBI and ATF. This same officer requested recommendations for testing to rule out damage from radiation exposure. He had used three radiation detectors that had gone off the scale and they also had identified Tritium isotopes confirming micronuclear devices. He identified them as US Armcy Corp of Engineers 1/10th Kiloton Micronukes with low yield radiation, high EMP and blast to crush to nanoparticles the building concrete and materials. Two unexploed micronuclear devices were removed of this type from the building. All the debris was removed under armed Wachenhut private guard, and he was told that if he removed any radioactive debris, all his personal equipment and uniforms were scanned and weighed on and off the OKC site. This officer stated that if he removed any materials he would be tracked and killed by direct threat from the senior FBI and ATF. Months later, October 1995, when he was found to have leaked this information to me my colleague Dr Ogrodnick MD was cracking jokes cocking his finger that "Your dead Deagle... They know what happened when Schwinder was away.." . He was apparently court-martialed and the next day I was fired, after a discussion, "I want a letter of reference and a check and if you kill me I have a safe of classified materials I will drop on you from the grave. If you come within 500 miles of me or my family, I have friends who will be very upset and they will take action..". This conversation was directly with Major George Schwinder MD face to face.
This is as close as I can recall the truth of the time sequence of event after the OKC Ft. Carson Speial Ops Forensic Munitions team returned for exit examinations from the scene of the OKC Murrah Bldg. in April 1995.

Hammer David Paul - Secrets Worth Dying For - Timothy James McVeigh and the Oklahoma City Bombing
Timothy James McVeigh provided the information contained within this book to us during the time he spent with us here on death row at the United States Penitentiary in Terre Haute, Indiana. We engaged in various projects on Tim's behalf, and at some risk to ourselves, in order to gain his trust or a semblance thereof, and his cooperation with the writing of this book. Some might even say that we bartered with him. Our associations were not always amiable, there were intense disputes and allegations of broken promises and even treachery, but in the end the necessity for cooperation won out. This was needed to advance McVeigh''s agenda.
Our conversations took on many forms during the twenty-three months spent living together in a unit designed for the condemned. These conversations and communications ranged from debates, arguments, chatter, gossip, idle conversation, explanations, question and answer sessions, and even confessions by McVeigh.
It stands to reason, given the segregation of those housed on this unit, that we spent more time with McVeigh, than anyone else, during the last two years of his life. Some of the information revealed to us was previously provided to outside sources in February of 2000, by way of tape-recorded telephone calls. Additionally, we provided information to reporters by way of letters in late 1999 and early 2000. This all occurred just prior to the January 2000 face-to-face interviews between reporters Lou Michel, Dan Herbeck and McVeigh. Those interviews were conducted here on January 14, 17 and 18, 2000.
It should be noted that Tim McVeigh was fully aware of our intentions to write this book about our interactions with him. His agreement to assist us and to provide details was contingent upon our not writing about, or publishing the information in book form, prior to the publication of his 'authorized biography,' which he wanted to be titled 'American Patriot.' That book, written by reporters Michel and Herbeck in early 2001, was instead titled, 'American Terrorist.' While it was not the exact biography McVeigh had hoped for, it did contain a version of events portraying him as a 'lone wolf terrorist,' responsible for planning, financing, and carrying out the Oklahoma City bombing almost single-handedly. That is the picture he wanted the public to believe while he was alive, for, in his mind, he would remain a true and loyal soldier until the very end.
We have honored all aspects of our agreement with Tim McVeigh. That includes naming a chapter in this book "Blood Makes the Grass Grow." This title comes from the cadence uttered by his platoon, during basic training at Fort Banning, Georgia. We have elected to leave out the "Kill, Kill, Kill!" line of that cadence.
Wherever possible, the authors have attempted to verify the information provided to us by McVeigh. We have done so via our contacts on the outside. Because of our incarceration and the slow process of verification, this book has taken almost three years to write. We offer this version of events relating to the bombing of the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma on April 19, 1995, because the public has just as much right to know McVeigh''s secrets as they have to know his so-called 'authorized lone wolf version.' We offer his accounts only for what they are worth, that value is left up to you, the reader, to decide.

This deposition was taken by Jesse Trentadue Atty from Terry Lynn Nichols who supports FBI total control and complicit control of Timothy McVeigh in completion of the OKC Murrah Bldg April 1995 Bombing. Video Deposition Orders were filed Sept 21st 2007 by Trentadue in Federal Court and granted by the court Federal Judge to proceed with David Paul Hammer and Jesse Trentadue.

Peter Kevin Langan provided his deposition to Jesse Trentadue Atty providing evidence for Timothy McVeigh Federal involvement in OKC Murrah April 1995 bombing. This correlates with Terry Lynn Nichols and David Paul Hammer's and my affidavit filed in Spril 2007 and sent to Jesse Trentadue to obtain Video Deposition Federal Orders which he succeeded in Sept 21st 2007, for Terry Lynn Nichols and David Paul Hammer to provide further video evidence of Video proofs supporting written depositions provided by these men, now in US Federal Penitentiary Systems, and affiliated in direct and indirect ways to Timothy McVeigh.
