Sen. Tom Coburn (R-OK) has done it again.

The Christopher and Dana Reeve Act, named for the actor who was made famous by his portrayal of superman and later became a champion of the disabled, along with his late wife (pictured at right), is part of a broad package created by Democrats which lumps together 36 bills.

It would have allocated $25 million for research on spinal cord injuries, rehabilitation and measures to improve the quality of life for paralyzed Americans. The effort is backed by the Paralyzed Veterans of America, which claims 19,000 members. Some 200,000 Americans suffer spinal cord-related injuries.

“We have a war with many veterans who suffer some from spinal cord injuries or paralysis,” said Lee Page, associate advocacy director for Paralyzed Veterans for America told the Navy Times Tuesday.

The overall bill, dubbed the Advancing America’s Priorities Act, was blocked by a 50-42 vote, short of the 60 votes need to overcome a filibuster. It was created in an effort to draw attention to Sen. Tom Coburn, a stalwart crusader for tightening the pursestrings of government.

The bill also included funding for victims of torture, disability, and disease.

The House passed the Reeve bill in 2007, but the Senate has never followed suit.

The Democrats' package bundled numerous uncontroversial proposals in an attempt to overcome procedural hurdles Coburn has imposed. Dr. Coburn is famous for his efforts to moonlight as a physician while serving in Congress, and was blocked by the Senate when he attempted to continue delivering babies while in office. He's also known for his annual screening of films warning congressional staffers of venereal disease.

Republicans blasted the bill as an attempt to bait them and distract from measures to deal with high gas prices.

"They're using every trick to get us away from dealing with high gas prices," said Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY).

OSLO, July 30, 2008 (AFP) - The breakdown of the World Trade Organization (WTO) negotiations signals a "new world order" in which the West can no longer unilaterally impose its will on the rest of the world, Norway's foreign minister said Wednesday.

"I may have been present as the world order crumbled. But at the same time, I have witnessed the emergence of a new world order where all of the world's countries are present and defend their rights," Jonas Gahr Stoere wrote in an opinion piece in the Norwegian paper of reference Aftenposten.

"Just a few years ago, the United States and the EU resolved all disputes. When they agreed on a solution, that was often the way it turned out. Those days are numbered," he wrote, pointing to the mounting influence of countries like China, India and Brazil.

The Geneva talks collapsed Tuesday after nine gruelling days of negotiations aimed at reaching a consensus on subsidy levels and import tariffs for a new deal under the WTO's seven-year-old Doha Round.

"The failure in Geneva should encourage us to develop a world order that is in line with a new era," Stoere said, insisting that the aborted talks should not be the final word on the matter.

Norway, which is not a member of the European Union, has traditionally imposed high duties on imported agricultural goods to protect its heavily subsidised farmers.

“Terrorists should be perceived and described as criminals, not holy warriors, and our analysis suggests that there is no battlefield solution to terrorism.”

The House Judiciary Committee has voted 20-14 to approve a contempt of Congress resolution against former White House Deputy Chief of Staff Karl Rove for his failure to appear after a Congressional subpoena.

Voting along party lines Wednesday morning, the committee said Rove broke the law by failing to appear at a July 10 hearing on allegations of White House influence over the Justice Department, including whether Rove encouraged prosecutions against Democrats.

The committee decision is a recommendation. It remains unclear whether Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) will allow a final vote.

Rove has denied any involvement with Justice Department decisions, and the White House has said Congress has no authority to compel testimony from current and former advisers.

Yesterday afternoon, a coalition of groups including CREDO Mobile, People For the American Way, Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington, The Nation, Campaign for America’s Future, and Progress Now, delivered a petition calling for Rove’s contempt to Rep. Linda Sanchez (D-CA).

“I think it’s ridiculous that Karl Rove thinks that he doesn’t have to follow the law,” Sanchez said in a release. “Nobody in this country should be above the law.”

Excerpts from the markup memo of the resolution sent to reporters follows. Rove was overseas at the time of the hearing and alleged that the trip had been planned in advance.

IN A SPEECH given to the Israeli Knesset on March 19, 2008, Germany’s Chancellor, Angela Merkel, reiterated the decades-old reparations doctrine by saying: “Germans are filled with shame over the Jewish holocaust.”

The German media is now reporting that many Germans, particularly young people who no longer believe their teachers, are suffering from “holocaust fatigue” and no longer trust Berlin’s Zionist puppets, such as Angela Merkel, to tell them the truth. PUTTING A MUZZLE ON THE MOUTHS OF GERMANS

HIGHLY CHARGED WORDS which are monitored by the Zionist thought police express the true inner thoughts of most Germans. There are 5 words that could get a German in trouble:

1) “Leitkultur” - This word denotes the “predominant culture” of German and European social mores which most Germans wish to retain as part of their Germanic culture.

An example of the fallout which occurred after using the forbidden word “Leitkultur” was evidenced when Friedrich Merz, a former leading member of the Christian Democratic Union, used the term “Leitkultur von Deutschland” to describe what immigrants coming to Germany should aspire to.

Merz inspired, (as did Jurgen Molleman of the Free Democrats who is believed to have been “suicided” by Mossad in June 2003), an awakening German patriotism by striking a chord in a country where acceptance of “Alleinschuld,” (German guilt for WWII), continually propagated by Germany’s Jews and Zionist-leadership, is on the wane. Merz’s use of the word “Leitkultur” sparked an intense national debate among ordinary people who long for a return to traditional German Christian values.

Leaders of the Zionist Jewish community attacked Merz with a vengeance. The German Jewish community leader, Paul Spiegel, the former President of the ADL-style Central Council of Jews in Germany, facetiously asked 200,000 people gathered at the disingenuously named We Stand Up for Humanity and Tolerance demonstration held in Berlin on November 9, 2000:

— “What’s all this talk of Leitkultur? Does German Leitkultur include hunting down foreigners and burning synagogues? Are we talking about a culture or about the prevailing values of democracy as stated in our national constitution?

“For Article One of that constitution states: ‘The dignity of mankind is inviolable. The duty of national power is its protection.’ Now the dignity of mankind is inviolable not just the dignity of European Christians!” —

Merz quickly became anathema in the eyes of the Jewish-controlled media and has since effectively retired from active participation in politics.

2) “Verdorbenes Kultur”/”Entartete Kulter” - These phrases denote a rotten or decadent culture, which the German people of the 1920s and 1930s perceived as emanating from prominent Jews in the media, arts, film, theatre, and the sex and drugs trade.

The phrase “Verdorbene Kultur” was cited in July 2007 by Horst Mahler, a leading German revisionist historian, when saying that Hitler’s book “Mein Kampf” should no longer be banned in Germany since it provided well-founded definitions of what constituted a Zionist-enslaved culture in moral decline. In so doing, Mahler was subject to months of abuse by the Jewish-controlled media, Germany’s Central Council of Jews, and the political elites.

In his still very popular book, Hitler wrote that one of the main evils responsible for the suffering, hunger and poverty of the German people was the German-Jewish role in creating a “rotten culture” of decadent art designed to destroy the true moral fiber of a once-proud civilization:

— “Culturally, the Jew contaminates art, literature, and the theater by overthrowing all concepts of beauty and sublimity, of the noble and the good, and instead drags men down into the sphere of his own base nature” — Here

The idea of lifting the ban on “Mein Kampf” was swiftly criticised by Jewish groups. Wolfgang Benz, the head of the Centre For Anti-Semitism Research in Berlin, described it as “absurd.” Salomon Korn, of the Central Council of Jews in Germany, said it would be an insult to Holocaust survivors.

Horst Mahler, who is no stranger to the Federal Republic of Germany’s brutal Gulag system, has just been sentenced to 11 months imprisonment for treating the Jew Michel Friedman with “disrespect.” Friedman, a notoriously arrogant talk show host and a former deputy General Secretary of the ZJD with a criminal record as a cocaine dealer and a suspected key player in the illicit sex trafficking trade, filed suit following an interview with Mahler in the November 2007 German edition of “Vanity Fair.”

In September 2007, the Catholic Archbishop of Cologne, Cardinal Meisner, ignited a firestorm of controversy when he told his congregation “a culture without God is a decadent culture.”

The ZJD went ballistic, denouncing the cardinal for using a word frequently cited by the National Socialists in their condemnation of decadent Jewish art, organized prostitution rings, sex trafficking and the drugs trade.

3) “Volksgemeinschaft” - This phrase denotes a society based upon the principles of a “Leitkultur” that prioritizes the needs of its own citizens. The Jewish State of Occupied Palestine (Israel) itself is indeed a “Volkgemeinschaft.”

However, in Germany, anyone who writes or speaks about the advantages of a
“Volksgemeinschaft” for the German people is subject to prosecution under Section 130 and other laws that prohibit speaking favorably of National Socialism, which itself was based upon the promotion of a Volksgemeinschaft. In Israel, such people who hold to this creed are described as the “Chosen People.” In Germany, they are branded as “Nazis” and face imprisonment of up to five years.

4) “Jude” (Jew) - It is considered by the authorities as “anti-Semitic” to call a Jew a “Jew.” One must always refer to a Jew as a “Jewish person.” The irony is that 95 percent of all Semites living in the world today are Arabs. The other five percent are Sephardic Jews, who are themselves genetically identical to Palestinians.

5) “Vaterland” (Fatherland) - The police are obliged to question any German who refers to his home country as the “Fatherland.” The word is associated with National Socialism and those inclined to use it are branded as “Nazis.”

In Germany there exists a list of hundreds of forbidden words and phrases. We, Brother Nathanael and Michael James, have mentioned only five. Remove the muzzle — go to jail.

Speculators Trying to Buy Control of Food Supply


According to the New York Times, Financial Times, and others, hedge funds and other investors are buying up farms, farmland, fertilizer, grain elevators, shipping equipment and other necessities for producing food.

Given the meltdown in the housing and financial sectors and the weakness in the U.S. economy, large investors figure that everyone has to eat, and so investing in food production is a sure thing.

That means that speculators will drive up food prices.

As Jim Hightower puts it:


"By 'owning structure,' they mean centralizing control of food in the hands of financial manipulators who have only one crop in mind: fat profits.

Price? Aha! That’s what consolidation of farms and storage facilities is all about. If you can lock down production and stockpile the supply – you can control price. If corn prices are lower than what investors want them to be, simply store the corn and force prices up. Or, if corn prices are down in the U.S., ship it to Japan or wherever else might be more profitable. And if these distortments cause a food crash? Hey, the speculators will already have sucked out billions in profits, and they will just move to the next hot investment.

Hedge funds bring nothing but greed and grief to the farm economy and our food supply, and they should be banned from 'owning structure.'"


Hightower may be right: we should demand that Congress prevent speculators from buying up one of the main necessities.

Moreover, this just strengthens my conviction that we should guarantee our access to inexpensive and healthy food. See this and this.

Audit finds millions wasted in Iraq reconstruction contract

WASHINGTON (AFP) — Millions of dollars were likely wasted on a 900 million dollar army contract to build courthouses, prisons, police and other security facilities in Iraq, an audit released Monday has found.

The audit by the congressionally appointed Special Inspector General for Iraq, Stuart Bowen, found that the contractor, Parsons Delaware Inc., completed only about a third of 53 planned construction projects.

"Although the failure to complete some of the work is understandable because of its complex nature and the unstable security environment in Iraq, millions of dollars in waste are likely associated with incomplete, terminated and abandoned projects under this contract," the audit report said.

The contract was one of a dozen design-build construction contracts awarded by the army in 2004 to restore Iraq's infrastructure in broad areas such as security and justice, water, oil, electricity and transportation.

Parsons was supposed to build police and civil defense training areas, two prisons, two courthouses, fire stations, and border control facilities.

The report said more than 142 million dollars, or nearly 43 percent of the funds disbursed so far, "were spent on projects that were either terminated or cancelled, although a number of the projects were subsequently completed."

Repeated construction delays prompted the government to cancel the construction of two partially built prisons, one at Nasiriyah and the other at Khan Bani Saad, the audit said.

The Nasiriyah prison was later completed by another contractor, but the facility at Khan Bani Saad was turned over half finished to the Iraqi government which has no plans to use it, the audit said.

It said about 40 million dollars has been spent on the Khan Bani Saad prison.

"At this point the entire amount disbursed for this project may ultimately be wasted because the government of Iraq currently has no plans for completing or using this facility," the audit said.

The audit said there were "significant weaknesses" in the government's oversight of the contract, which created "an environment that was conducive to waste and inefficiency."

While everyone's looking at Iraq's effect on American politics -- and whether or not John McCain and Barack Obama are converging on a policy that combines a flexible timetable with a vague, and long-lasting, residual force -- let's take a look instead at Iraqi politics. The picture isn't pretty.

Despite the Optimism of the Neocons, which has pushed mainstream media coverage to be increasingly flowery about Iraq's political progress, in fact the country is poised to explode. Even before the November election. And for McCain and Obama, the problem is that Iran has many of the cards in its hands. Depending on its choosing, between now and November Iran can help stabilize the war in Iraq -- mostly by urging the Iraqi Shiites to behave themselves -- or it can make things a lot more violent.

There are at least three flashpoints for an explosion, any or all of which could blow up over the next couple of months. (Way to go, Surgin' Generals!) The first is the brewing crisis over Kirkuk, where the pushy Kurds are demanding control and Iraq's Arabs are resisting. The second is in the west, and Anbar, where the US-backed Sons of Iraq sahwa ("Awakening") movement is moving to take power against the Iraqi Islamic Party, a fundamentalist Sunni bloc. And third is the restive Mahdi Army of Muqtada al-Sadr, which is chafing at gains made by its Iranian-backed rival, the Islamic Supreme Council of Iraq (ISCI).

Perhaps the issue of KIrkuk and the Kurds is most dangerous. Last week, the Kurds walked out of parliament to protest a law passed by parliament to govern the provincial elections. The law passed 127-13, but it was vetoed by President Jalal Talabani, a Kurd. Juan Cole, the astute observer, says : "The conflict between Kurds and Arabs over Kirkuk is a crisis waiting to happen." He cites Al-Hayat, an Iraqi newspaper, as claiming that not only do the Kurds want to control Kirkuk, an oil-rich province in Iraq's north, but they plan to annex three other provinces where Kurds live: Diyala, Salahuddin, and Ninewa. That's not likely, but they do want Kirkuk, and the vetoed election law would have limited the Kurds' ability to press their gains there.

The election law was supported by Sadr's bloc and backed by former Prime Minister Iyad Allawi and his Iraq National List. Another nationalist party, the National Dialogue Council, has demanded the ouster of President Talabani over his veto of the law. Other Iraqi parties are backing the now-vetoed law, too, which also restricts the use of Islamic religious symbols by political parties seeking to corral illiterate, religious voters.

Because of all this, it now looks like there won't be provincial elections this year at all. The ruling bloc of Shiite religious parties and Kurdish warlords is split over the crisis, weakening Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki, and members of the ruling coalition are trying to patch things up. I don't think they'll succeed. Many Shiites in the ruling bloc, including ISCI, have criticized the law as divisive, but as Arabs it's hard for them to endorse a Kurdish takeover of Kirkuk. ISCI and the Badr Brigade, its armed wing, are holding parlays to decide what to do. Interestingly, all three members of the ruling presidential council, including Talabani, the IIP's Hashemi, and ISCI's Adel Abdel Mahdi, voted to veto the law, putting ISCI and the IIP on record as supporting the Kurds. Bad for them politically.

The IIP says that it wants to mediate the crisis. But the IIP is in a very, very weak position. Having just rejoined the Maliki government, it is under siege at home in its base in Anbar province, where the Awakening is flexing its muscle. This could be the second explosion. The Sunni Arabs are still seething over the divisive Iraqi Constitution and their continuing exclusion from political power, and the Awakening movement sees the IIP (correctly) as wildly unrepresentative. So the Awakening, representing Sunni tribal powers and former resistance fighters, wants in, at the expense of the IIP. That time bomb is ticking, too.

The final crisis-to-be is the Sadr vs. Badr one. The Times today suggests that Sadr is weakening:


The militia that was once the biggest defender of poor Shiites in Iraq, the Mahdi Army, has been profoundly weakened in a number of neighborhoods across Baghdad, in an important, if tentative, milestone for stability in Iraq.

Don't believe it. Sadr's rivals, ISCI, don't have anything like the popular base that Sadr has. And underneath Sadr is a volatile mix of neighborhood, local and regional militias, mosques, and economic fiefdoms that won't yield easily to ISCI and Maliki. Because Sadr's forces are dependent on Iran, however, for arms and cash, Iran may be in the driver's seat. Just the other day, the commander of Iran's Revolutionary Guard Corps crowed that the United States has failed to install an anti-Iranian regime in Baghdad, and he's completely right.

So Iraq is still poised to explode, and Iran may be in control. McCain's solution: provoke a showdown with Iran. Obama's solution: try to make a deal with Iran to stabilize Iraq. I'm not sure either "plan" will work.

Lets not forget the Turks, who won't be happy about the Kurds controlling the oil in the North. The question is not if things are going to explode, but when is it going to happen? As we have seen with Hamas, Iran is not adverse to supporting Sunni groups. Combine the nationalist Sons of Iraq with the Madhi Army, and you would have group strong enough to control Iraq. The problem is Sunni Iraqis tend to be anti-Iranian. Iran must treat Iraqi nationalism with respect if they wish to be a factor in the Middle East. However, this combination might be easier to bring together, than the Madhi Army and the ISCI where the break is along class lines. However with regard to the U.S. and Iran, it is in the national interest of both countries to work together in Iraq and Afghanistan to solve problems in those countries.

There will always be unrest among the factions in Iraq and because of outside influence. Unfortunately, George W. didn't plan for this problem when he was so gung-ho to invade.

So the problem the Generals have now is to keep the peace while the politics are worked out. That will take more time.

No-one can deny the improvement since the surge began. Hillary Clinton has stated that the surge is working, Obama is caught in his own inexperience and refuses to admit the success there. This will be his downfall if he doesn't see the light soon.

The U.S. can do one of two things now. They can stay the course and grind out a slow peace process and eventually, for the most part, stabalize that country or they can do, as Obama wants, cut their losses and run to Afghanistan and suffer incalcuable losses there.

The U.S. must do both on a prudent scale in Iraq and in an overwhelming scale in Afghanistan. We will be defeated in Afghanistan just like the Russians if we don't use overwhelming force and provide the Generals with the necessary troop strength, something that wasn't done in Iraq. This will require a reintroduction of some form of military conscription because the forces simply are not there to maintain two (or more) fronts. John McCain understands this, Obama does not. We either strengthen America's armed forces to meet the needs of an increasingly violent world or we fall back and defend the homeland only. Those are the options.

Iraq was a mistake. Obama is right about that. The surge is succeeding. Obama needs to admit that and move forward to a unified solution with the military so that the fight in Afghanistan to rid the world of the Taliban and Al Queda can commence.

I believe that John McCain will have the gravitas and the diplomatic skills necessary to bring together a proper coalition to get the job done. He's already got the bonofides. Obama does not. All those adoring fans of Obama's in Europe will be unhappy but they will be the minority.

The terrorists will not go away simply by talking. Their cause is too resolute and their investment is to broad to simply talk their grievances away. They will have to be destroyed and we will need a President who is up to the task.

Old-timers remember. Bad times have a positive good. They cause the real stuff to come out. Why? Well, a simple reason is that people in key managerial positions get laid off in a bad recession or full blown Depression. And if they cannot find good work, or any work suitable to their talent. Well, what more do they have to lose? They start talking. They put details into the ears of loudmouths. And so the common Americans find oujt what is really happening. The 1930s were such a period. So you do not know that. Well, maybe you forgot to talk to your elders.

Is now such a period? Details are beginning to circulate in higher and higher circles of the monopoly press. The liars and whores of the press are forced to deal with the growing understanding that there was prior knowledge, at the highest level, as to Black Tuesday. Maybe George W. Bush himself did not know all the details. But did Daddy Bush know? Some think so.

A fictional book (by Richard Condon) and movie was entitled "Winter Kills". When it first came out as a movie, it was quickly withdrawn and suppressed. It was about an Irish patriarch who arranged with a criminal cabal to have his son as the President. Because of the conflicting forces at work, his son was assassinated, caused by his father. After all, the family boss was in with some really bad people.

The book and movie seemed to point in real life to John F. Kennedy and his gangster-CIA linked father, Joseph P. Kennedy. In the beginning, the Kennedy Family blocked the further presentation of the movie. Years later, it did finally get shown on television. We interviewed, on tape, the movie producer. He told us how the Kennedys set out to destroy him and his film production. We played a few minutes of the interview on our recorded phone message. At that time, it was the only outlet available to us and our reports. That was before public access Cable TV, before Internet, and before more open talk radio.

Now the monopoly press is laying off people. Their source of income, advertising, is way down. So stories are beginning to circulate, in and out of the mass media, even by the press fakers. Did not George W. Bush order the military stand-down on September 11, 2001? Or, was it Daddy Bush, former head of the secret political police?

Popular websites, like www.rense.com, are putting the terrible truth of high-level prior knowledge of Black Tuesday right on the screen, right into the face of millions of Americans (some of whom may have been previously naive or poorly informed). So now, with Jeff Rense doing his best to educate everyone, there is no reason not to be well-informed. And those devils in high places, wrapping themselves in the flag, will not make it all go away.

As we have pointed out in prior website stories, there is a split in the American aristocracy. Part supports (for the moment) George W. Bush, the occupant and resident of the White House. The other candidate Albert Gore, Jr., some consider as the actually elected but NOT INAUGURATED President, having won the popular vote by 600,000. Some contend that a corrupt "Gang of Five" on the U.S. Supreme Court installed Bush. In Texas, they call Bush by his middle initial, said quickly, as "DUBYA". His illegitimacy haunts even those who call themselves independent.

The opposing faction in the aristoracy, Establishment, Ruling Class, whatever you call them----to put it, crudely, do NOT want to be forced to deal with him the way they dealt with President John F. Kennedy. Accused (falsely) by them of being soft on "Communists" and "in" with the Moscow government, JFK was the victim of a public execution by the ultra rich, right after high noon his brains being blown out in an open car, by military-style triangulating sniper fire. News fakers, key players in the "lone assassin" cover up story, were thereafter rewarded by being pushed right to the top of the monopoly press. To temporarily sidestep some of the problems, the Federal Reserve has been secretly (or not so secretly for some) pumping up the stock market. Used, in part, have been billions and billions of dollars siphoned off (some call it embezzled) of Enron and multiplied through book-keeping hocus-pocus and derivatives, to create, on paper, trillions of dollars. Because of economic dislocations, lay-offs, pocket-book worries, many Americans may be inclined to sweep the Democrats into a majority in the House and moreso in the Senate. [Because of antiquated State Laws and due to a "don't give a damned" attitude of the U.S. Supreme Court, third parties in America are not given a good chance in elections. The monopoly press, in an unwritten policy, ignores third party efforts. In Europe, to their credit, without such hang-ups, third and fourth party persons sit in their Parliaments and have a fair chance at the instruments of Government.]

Sensing all this, the GOP makers and shakers are in favor of somehow, if possible, removing their own man, George W. Bush, and maybe Richard Cheney also, from the chair if not the spotlight. Could a land invasion by the U.S. of Iraq stop the U.S. Elections? [Saddam Hussein was in the 1980s a private business partner of Daddy Bush. See our website story, "The Secrets of Timothy McVeigh". And Osama bin Laden has been a business partner of George W. Bush as we have pointed out.]

The Republicans, as a front for a part of the aristocracy, fear a Democrat Congressional majority may find reasons to consider impeachment resolutions against George W. Bush. Some supposedly "well-educated" persons often do not seem to understand any of this. What did they learn in University after all, at great expense to their elders? In bad economic times, can they truly expect to make PER YEAR in wages what it costs PER YEAR to go to a fancy private college or university? Some such university graduates in not comprehending any of this, would require that we re-invent the wheel of history for their quick benefit. I notice in reading some of the letters and e-mail, from apparent college-types, they spell coup as KOO, and spell the term "martial law" like describing a federal lawman.

In 1999, I began to describe on radio talk shows and elsewhere, that the then upcoming year 2000 Presidential Election may not be conducted in a manner that we as ordinary Americans are accustomed to from past history. If necessary, was the monopoly press fully prepared to explain it away, if we had elections CANCELLED? In 1972, was a study made by a think tank, part of the American CIA and the Military, the Rand Corp. Their opus, "Project Star", instigated by a would-be dictator, President Richard M. Nixon, laid out ways the press can persuade ordinary Americans to accept terminating elections and instituting martial law.

Have we all forgotten how close to martial law we came in the fall of 1973, when Nixon tried by extra-legal means to stop the Watergate investigations? [It was called "The Saturday Night Massacre" when he summarily axed the investigators.] In 1974, the aristocracy, having used Nixon enough as their punching bag, through their high court stooges in Washington, slapped down Nixon. A week before Nixon's telecast tearful resignation in August, 1974, General Alexander Haig, then White House Chief of Staff, took away from President and Commander-in-Chief Nixon, the "football", the term for the nuclear trigger code box that a Marine carries around while always right near the President.

And when the aristocracy through various snipers, in 1981, warned newly inaugurated President Ronald Reagan that they were aware of the "October Surprise" treason by which he was installed, General Alexander Haig came up from the White House situation room and proclaimed haughtily, "I'm in charge here!" In a national emergency, Haig, under martial law directives, would be correct. Vice President George Herbert Walker Bush, because Reagan was lazy, more or less ran the White House until Bush was himself elected President in 1988. Some contend Daddy Bush, in violation of the U.S. Constitution 22nd Amendment, actually served three terms as President. The attempt to warn or assassinate Reagan was falsely blamed on a "lone nut". John Hinckley whose family while failing in the oil business, was bailed out by Daddy Bush.

And several weeks after this situation, there was an attempt by the American CIA (falsely blamed on the Bulgarians) to assassinate, in a related move, Pope John Paul 2nd. (His predecessor, Pope John Paul 1st, was murdered by being poisoned 33 days after becoming Pope. Details are in the book, "In God's Name", by David Yallop. Among other things, the pontiff wanted to stop the CIA and the gangsters from encroaching on the Continental Bank of Chicago, owned in part by the Vatican and the Queen of England. Now taken over by the Jesuits/French Rothschilds jointly with the Japanese underworld, the Yakuza, it is called a unit of Bank of America Chicago. Among other things, their specialty is judicial bribery funds offshore.]

Bush's Mass Pardons Predicted

Editor’s Note: As his presidency nears its end, George W. Bush will be faced with a tough choice: either run the risk, along with many of his top aides, of future prosecution for a variety of crimes from the “war on terror” -- or fashion a mass pardon for all those involved.

In this guest essay, former Democratic congressional aide Brent Budowsky predicts that Bush will take the latter course, even outdoing his father's lame-duck Iran-Contra pardons in 1992:

Before leaving office George W. Bush will issue a mass pardon, the largest collection of presidential pardons in American history.

Bush will pardon himself, Vice President Cheney, and a long list of officials involved in torture, eavesdropping, destruction of evidence, the CIA leak case, and a range of other potential crimes.

As George Bush signs the pardons and boards the helicopter to depart Washington as his presidency finally ends, even then he and those pardoned will worry about the statute of limitations.

There is an important point to this, often not recognized in official Washington during the Bush years: When the unthinkable became a way of life, acts were committed that defied constitutional and legal principles in ways never done by an American president.

Torture alone violates international law, domestic law, criminal statutes, and American principles that date back to George Washington.

Eavesdropping without court order violates a statute, FISA, that includes severe criminal penalties. If the courts ultimately conclude that these laws were broken, as I predict they ultimately will, considering the number of individual violations, and the penalties for each violation, the potential sentencing liability for anyone convicted would be huge.

On the destruction of evidence, disappearing e-mails, claims of executive privilege that I predict will be clearly rejected by the Supreme Court after Bush has departed, arguably false testimony to Congress, attempts to cover up actions that violate the law, the list, again, goes on.

There will be a huge legal debate about the right of a President to issue pardons so sweeping in their language that they cover all these potential areas of legal liability, and very possibly, it cannot be done.

Congress should pursue every pending and possible legal challenge to claims of executive privilege so completely untenable under the law that even some conservative Supreme Court justices will refuse to uphold them, as conservative justices joined liberals ruling against Richard M. Nixon.

I predict a series of historic Supreme Court cases that will defeat most of the Bush executive privilege claims and permanently end attempts for royalist interpretations of the law that the Bush years embody.

The fact that Bush attempted to seize power in ways that negate the legislative and judicial branches of government, and the fact that Congress was not heroic in defending its rightful place in the separation of powers, do not change the fact that what is illegal is illegal.

But this is not merely a liberal issue.

There are many authentic conservatives, true Barry Goldwater Republicans, genuine libertarians, honorable strict constructionist conservative jurists and legal scholars who agree entirely that on occasions George Bush has attempted and at times executed seizures of executive power that violate the American Constitution and American statutes.

So, get ready for mass pardons.

Get ready for the long-held precedents of American law to be ultimately if belatedly upheld and spurious claims of executive privilege to be rejected.

Get ready for a long-overdue debate that has barely begun and will be triggered by the mass pardons that will be the last sorry act of the presidency of George W. Bush.

Silverstein obtained this lease from his Jewish synagogue buddy, Lewis M Eisenberg, (who was then the Chairman of the Port Authority of New York), even though Vornado Realty outbid Silverstein by $50m.

Eisenberg aborted Vornado’s bid in favour of his Zionist buddy Silverstein. Eisenberg, who was a huge contributor to the Bush-Cheney campaign, is a member of the Republican Jewish Coalition and former partner of the Jewish bank, Goldman Sachs.

Silverstein and Eisenberg both held senior leadership positions with the United Jewish Appeal, a billion dollar Zionist organization. At present, Silverstein is on the UJA’s Board Of Directors. The UJA raises millions of dollars for its client, the Zionist State of Israel. Silverstein is also co-founder of the Israel Export Development Company.

Of particular note, the Wall Street Journal reported that Silverstein regularly had breakfast at the WTC’s Windows on the World every morning. Yet strangely enough, Silverstein had a doctor’s appointment the morning of the 9-11 attack… (How did you know not to be there dear Larry?)

9-11 WAS AN INSIDE JOB

SCIENTISTS, ARCHITECTS, & ENGINEERS now affirm that the 9-11 destruction of the World Trade Center buildings was an inside job. The leading scientist of Scholars For 9-11 Truth, Dr Steven Jones, has proven that controlled demolition devices were placed within the WTC Twin Towers - and this is what brought the buildings down not the airplanes.

Jones says that molten metal was found in the sub basements of the buildings. The molten metal, Jones argues, was caused by a high-temperature Thermite reaction, used to demolish steel. Thermal hot spots throughout the sub basement levels were detected by satellite - confirming Jones’ findings.

Jones also says that heated dust with particles of Thermite was discovered in the WTC area. But Silverstein arranged that three NY Jewish steel and scrap companies ship the metal which could have been used as evidence to China & India.

Paul W. Mason, structural engineer of Melbourne Australia, affirms Dr Jones’ findings:

Why Israel Can't Attack Iran

A ccompanying its verbal escalations over the Iranian nuclear project, Israel ventured on an extraordinary air force exercise in early June. According to the New York Times, this included more than 100 F-15 and F-16 fighter jets, which flew west 900 miles and returned—the same distance that would be required for an attack on the Iranian nuclear facilities at Natanz.

Israelis like to claim that they will be the main victim of Iranian nuclear development. They hark back to the scuds of Saddam Hussein, which fell on Tel Aviv in the first Gulf War when they had no direct part in the conflict. So too, this time—Israelis say—they will be in the crosshairs, and this justifies pre-emptive action.

Yet three major obstacles impede an Israeli attack.

1. The biggest is America. We are no longer in the heady days of George W. Bush's first term as president, when Veep Dick Cheney, Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld and Deputy Chief of Staff Karl Rove all pushed the theory of "preventive war." Today's White House licks the wounds it continues to suffer in Afghanistan and Iraq. Robert Gates, Rumsfeld's replacement, together with Admiral Mike Mullen, chair of the Joint Chiefs, and many others in the Pentagon, vehemently oppose an attack on Iran. In their view America must pull forces out, not sink ever deeper in Middle Eastern mud.

The US got itself into Iraq in a fit of wishful thinking. The new democracy that was supposed to spring from the grave of Saddam, according to the neo-cons, would deliver a mortal blow to Iran, spurring pro-Western oppositionaries there. The contrary happened. Iraq plunged into a civil war that enormously boosted the status of Iran, not just in the Gulf but throughout the Arab world. The US, mired in distant Iraq, is mired at home in unsustainable debt amid rocketing oil prices. From Washington's point of view, an attack on Iran would enflame the region—and more. This brings us to the second obstacle.

2. Iran's likely response to an attack by Israel would be felt at once by everyone except a few tribes in the Amazon basin. The world is gasping under a present oil price that threatens to paralyze economies, raising the transportation costs of food and other basic goods. A few weeks ago oil stood at $146 per barrel. The price dropped to $136 when Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad downplayed the chances of war with America. Following a private meeting between Bush and Olmert in May, however, Israeli Transport Minister Shaul Mofaz let it out that an attack on Iran was "unavoidable." This spiked the price of oil by $11, the highest single-day rise in history.

Iran, it must be remembered, possesses the largest oil reserves in the world after Saudi Arabia. An Israeli attack would be considered an American attack as well. Muhammad Jafari, who heads the Iranian Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC), talks about reprisals such as mining the Straits of Hormuz, a step that would prevent oil tankers from leaving the Persian Gulf. Iran would have other options as well, like rocketing the oil fields of America's ally, Saudi Arabia. It is not hard to imagine what would happen to the world's economies then. And who would have caused the new Great Depression?

3. The third obstacle to an attack by Israel concerns this nation's political limitations. Since the first Gulf War, Israel has coordinated its moves not only with the US but also with its moderate Arab neighbors. This was evident in the second Lebanon War, when the anti-Hezbollah-Iranian front included Israel, Saudi Arabia, Egypt and the Lebanese government itself. Israel needs such cooperation. It is wary of unilateral steps. Some see its recent talks with Syria as undertaken not for the sake of peace but rather for isolating Iran and Hezbollah.

If Israel were to attack Iran, Saudi Arabia—which stands to be the chief target of reprisals—would have to approve this in advance. Otherwise, Israel will again be isolated. The Saudis are very concerned, indeed, about Iran's growing power in the region. They earlier opposed the American attack on Iraq, foreseeing that Saddam's demise would raise Iran's status, and they were right. From Iran's point of view, in fact, Saudi Arabia is a greater strategic threat than Israel. It's enough to recall the 1980's, when the Saudis backed Saddam's attack on Khomeini's Iran. That war lasted eight years, severely damaging Iran. We may note, by the way, that Iran itself does not have a history of attacking its neighbors. Therefore, when Iran insists that its nuclear development is intended for peaceful uses, there is no historical basis for disbelief.

Why then does Israel occupy so central a place in the hostile pronouncements of Ahmadinejad and other Iranians? The reason has to do with Iran's internal difficulties: underdevelopment, poverty, unemployment, oppression and religious compulsion. In order to channel the frustration of the masses away from these problems, Iran uses the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. The latter has also served it in southern Lebanon, where it has built an advance front with Hezbollah. The development of nuclear capability is aimed, therefore, toward domestic concerns. Iran has adopted nuclear power, like Pakistan before it, as a means of boosting national pride.

The hysteria that Israel attempts to arouse against the prospect of an Iranian bomb is on a par with the cries of a robbed pirate. Israel itself has nuclear bombs (say foreign sources), and it rejects international supervision, refusing to sign the non-proliferation treaty. Its nuclear capability makes the Arab world edgy. For example, Egypt claims that Israeli superiority in both conventional and nonconventional terms is precisely what motivates countries like Iran toward building doomsday weapons.

If Israel would make the necessary moves toward solving its conflict with the Palestinians, the regional nuclear arms race would be defused. Hezbollah would lose its importance and Hamas would shrink. But as long as the conflict persists and deepens, nations like Iran will exploit it as a distraction from internal troubles. Meanwhile, we're sitting on a barrel of very volatile material.

Where I'm from, people would say that the US of A is getting what we call a 'Suthern-style ass-whuppin' as to its dreams of global oil and gas hegemony.

That is what's happening right now but Americans will not hear a peep about it from Washington DC or the MSM. Timed with the G8 meeting, the US sent the 'little Black Poodle", Condoleezza Rice, out globe-trotting to piss on the feet of the Russian Bear, yapping all the way like the useless appendate she is. They even scheduled DoD military exercises in Georgia for most of July to provide plenty of photo ops for the Bush­Rice road show and carny act.

Folks, Russia's Gazprom is the world's largest natural gas company and Dmitry Medvedev used to be the head of that company prior to becoming President Medvedev of Russia. This is not a man to have his shoes peed upon...but Bush and Condi just don't get it. Medvedev now controls Gazprom from the Kremlin since it is mostly "state-owned".

Gazprom is a major Russian weapon in economic and energy terms.

At the rate they are growing, Gazprom may well be THE natural gas powerhouse supplying most of the Eastern Hemisphere in twenty years or less. They are growing THAT fast. Meanwhile, our idiot leaders, and those in UK, cannot complete anything. All talk, no substance, nothing delivered but mayhem, hot air and excuses, and one useless photo op after another.

But soil Medvedev they did - both Bush at the G8, and then Rice in the Czech Republic and Georgia.

The Gazprom juggernaut has made major gains since 9-11 in Europe, the Caspian Basin, North Africa, and other areas of Africa - while BushCo keeps scheduling one useless press conference after another and announcing nothing...because it has nothing to announce!

Almost 8 years, our 'leaders' remain stuck on STUPID while foundering in rampant arrogance and incompetence. Thatis the Bush Administration and the legacy he will leave behind for America when he goes 'off his watch'.

Whether we get Obama or McCain next, there will be no change, just more stuck on stupid, while the rest of the world marches forward.
Whichever one of these turkeys does 'win' the November election, he is going to wish he hadn't. The next president of the United States will get 4 or 8 years of dealing mountains of Bush/Cheney dirty diapers, and worldwide hatred and blowback due to the Bush policy of war, genocide, and supreme arrogance.

First Rice went to the Czech Republic to "seal the deal" on the totally useless Bush Missile 'Defense' Shield. That bogus 'defense shield' is clearly and blatantly an OFFENSIVE
threat to Russian strategic missile forces and cannot possibly stop anything from Iran, if, when and "never" Iran were to attack the EU.

Out in the real world, it is a simple fact of life that many of the EU nations get a very large percentage of their energy from Iran.

Their biggest "utility company" is Russia. No nation is going to launch missiles at some of its biggest customers. Another Bush lie if one digs just 1 inch deep past the hollow rhetoric.

Hint: Russia and Iran recently signed a mega-deal on oil and natural gas and no matter what Bush or the US does, Iranian natural gas and oil will still be powering the EU along with Russia even if it has to flow through Russia to get there.

That is a fact of life in the EU. Bush and Blair have delivered absolutely nothing but hot air...and not the kind that heats homes or power cars and industry.

Russia has already made it clear they will counter the Bush Missile Shield follymilitarily. Make no mistake, there are many millions of very unhappy people in Europe because Bush is such a juvenile punk that he would be so offensive and confrontational with Russia since he can't get his way in Iraq or Afghanistan or the Caspian Basin, nor can he attack Iran as he and Israel long to do.

The Russians have already cut the Czech Republic oil supplies by 50% to remind them who heats their homes and powers their economy and cars.

It is not the fault of Russia or Iran that George W Bush is a colossall failure. W is the sole reason for his failures and needs no help from anyone in creating them. He is 'The Decider' - always decisive...and always wrong.

Wake up to reality, America. These people in DC are nothing less than criminally psychotic and stupid. And they are certifiably insane if they think they are the true leaders of this world. The world laughs and mocks our leaders and has no intentions of kneeling to them.

We were also treated to our utterly useless Secretary of State jetting over to Georgia to assure the world that the US is 100% behind Georgia and its membership bid in NATO. During her little tour was when Iran launched those test missiles...which, of course, caused the little Black Poodle to schedule another press conference to reiterate to the world that the US was 100% behind Israel, too.

Since the "world's only purported Superpower" has proven itself impotent and has accomplished exactly nothing since 9-11, most of the world knows that the words of Bush, Cheney and Rice are not worth the price of a cup of coffee.

Folks, ugly is getting uglier by the day for America and its Grand Chessboardfor its Global 'War on Terror='...for its Oil, Gas and Pipeline Follies which have now reached the point of being far beneath even the worst theater. Their grand scheme is a complete and total failure. Bush does not want to admit it; Bush and Congress do not want Americans to wake up to the realities or the gravity of the situation.

It would be comical if the long-term implications were not such that the United States of America is soon going to find itself mired in nothing but "stupid debt" - wasted and plundered for the fraudulent Global War on Terror. To add insult to injury, now they intend to lead the bailout of the Zionist banksters on home mortgage fraud, derivatives and stupid bets, sucking the US economy into Second or Third World Status like a Black Hole due to the myopia and sheer incompetence, arrogance, fraud, and stupidity our leaders.

The party is over and it is time to pay the tab. The only problem is the macho revelers are all broke.

I remember back in the third grade being forced to learn all of the US states, capitals, rivers, mountain ranges, and where they were on the map, etc. I always had this nagging question in back of my mind ­ "Why do I need to know this? For trivia pop quizzes in the future?"

Over time one learns that maps are a 'good thing' and if you cannot read them you certainly cannot win a war. Especially a contrived war launched right square into a landlocked area and the Grand Chessboard plan is trapped, doomed from inception. Only a complete idiot can lose a chess game in three moves (9-11 / Afghanistan, Iraq, bogus Global War on Terror aimed at the religion of the people you are trying to rob, chess game is over).

The pace of the news, including bad news for America, has picked up considerably this year. It is either like the difference between gentle waves on the beach versus a mile high tsunami inbound, or the difference between a gentle breeze and an F5 tornado right square in the face of every American.

The tempo is way up and the bad news is spreading faster than a California wildfire. I have been watching and most US news sources are predictably silent on some major things, less they spook the American Sheeple into a stampede.

Why is the US so behind Georgia, and so desirous of making Georgia the next member of NATO? Even with a cursory look at a map one can learn that it is on the east end of the Black Sea as far away from the North Atlantic and Europe as it can be. But it is of "national strategic significance" to the US?

I submit it is actually only significanct to save George Bush's butt before he leaves office. Big Oil has many billions on the line and already invested in the Caspian Basin and thus far, the Great Decider has delivered nothing but nightmares and bad news for America. And mass death in Iraq and Afghanistan.

The fact that Barack Obama is raising much more money than John McCain suggests to me that many of these big major corporations are already backing up from the abyss, preparing to take massive hits, and at the same time demanding Bush get off his arrogant ass and fix his mess.

This idiot in the Oval Office is like a bad dream that just will not go away. When I see Bush on TV, the only words that come to mind any more are 'pathetic' and 'despicable.'

Study this map of the REAL Caspian Basin region for a moment and then pick up again below the map.

If you did memorize that map and are unemployed, apply to either DIA, DoD, CIA or the White House for a job because they apparently have no one there who can read that map.

First off, the Caspian Sea is bordered by only five (5) nations; Azerbaijan, Iran, Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan and Russia; the only ally of that bunch being Azerbaijan.

Little Georgia is primarily bordered by The Great Bear of Russia on the north and little Christian Armenia and Islamic Azerbaijan to the south.

That is why our little poodle Secretary of State had to rush over to Georgia and piss on the feet of the Bear and yap like the good little doglet she is. That was after going to the Czech Republic, too. regarding that obvious strategic threat to Russia and yet another photo op.

Meanwhile, as I mentioned previously, Bush could not resist insulting the new Russian president at the G8 meetings. Trust me. this was all timed just for the G8 meetings.

Now that you have memorized that map of how things are really situated around the Caspian Sea/Caspian Basin "mother lode" of oil and natural gas, remember what I have written about recently.

The US plans to cross the Caspian Sea from Kazakhstan or Turkmenistan, through Azerbaijan, through Georgia to get a pipeline through to the Black Sea so they can finally declare "Mission Accomplished" on something, other than idle photo op rhetoric - thus far confined pretty much to the essence of nothingness.

They tried in March 2008 to manipulate the Armenia elections so they could route the pipeline through Azerbaijan, Armenia and Turkey to get to the Black Sea (and the Mediterranean) but failed to achieve the "CIA objective". When the CIA brats threw a 'mission specific tantrum' and tried to stir up an Orange Revolution (because they failed) it was immediately put down and Armenia is still aligned with Russia and Iran, not the US.

So, Georgia is on the 'hot seat' for a Bush Co pipeline, since the US planners managed to "hem themselves in" and cannot get a pipeline from Turkmenistan, through Afghanistan and Pakistan to the ocean. Georgia is their only other way out, unless, and I emphasize "unless" they change policies and route it south across IRAN to the ocean.

Most of us saw the recent news that the US intends to open a 'diplomatic mission' in Tehran.

Had our Great Decider taken that step in 2001 instead of waiting until the end of his pathetic 8 years in office, there would have not been a need to do September 11, 2001.

Since this Diplomatic Mission reverses almost 30 years of hostile US policy towards Iran, it shows how desperate the Bush Administration truly is at this time.

Since the US has managed to stir up a hornet's nest in both Afghanistan and Pakistan (ruling out the pipeline from Turkmenistan to the ocean) and since the US cannot seem to resist offending Russia, Iran might be its only way out of the mess BushCo has made of things. Russia could crush tiny Georgia in about 24 hours if they so wished. Putting a pipeline through there is not strategically safe if they persist in angering and insulting Russia over and over again.

Most Bears are pretty patient, until they are provoked into action. And then things get ugly, fast.

Almost 7 years and trillions of dollars wasted and the BushCo war/s have accomplished nothing other thank mayhem, mass death, maiming and human suffering and destruction on an enormous scale. On top of that, the US has destabilized the entire world because a weak US dollar equals very high oil prices. The more debt they keep piling upon debt, the weaker the dollar gets.

It is bad enough what they have already done in wasted money (trillions of unnecessary war debt) and have destroyed the value of the dollar and the overall integrity of the United States. Once they bail out Wall Street, the banks, the mortgage companies - and leave the rest of America flapping in the breeze - the dollar will get weaker (due to debt on debt on trillions of debt) and drive up oil prices more.

I am not sure what you know about economics, but basically we are financing our own demise through needless debt and financial greed and imbecility. High oil prices are fueling the growth of others entities, and gutting America like being skinned with a dull deer antler.

What is really sad are so many lost opportunities, and that someone in the US thought pulling off September 11, 2001 was a good way to get what they wanted.

There are days I swear the USA must have Forrest Gump in charge of strategic planning for the CIA, DoD and the White House.

As Gump said, 'stupid is as stupid does.'

Of course, all of this poodle peeing, posturing and yapping is going on because, to this day, the US does not have a pipeline across Afghanistan, which is why they attacked Afghanistan in the first place, and blamed it on 9-11. The US still does not have a pipeline across Georgia. They are still stuck in the mud and have no one to blame for that mess but themselves.

They US has run into a problem that is potentially even more serious than Georgia and the incessant friction between US lies and the fake Global War on Terror, and Russia out-performing Bush with its eyes closed.

The Caspian Sea is a major source of food for that entire region and all of the nations, including US-controlled Azerbaijan 'object' to the US running that pipeline across the Caspian Sea just to bail Bush's imperial ass out of the fire he created. This is a landlocked sea and a major oil spill would be a huge environmental catastrophe to the area and to the food supply of all the peoples in the area. This would not be a small pipeline, it would be a large pipeline - and more than one since both oil and natural gas have to be transported to the ports for shipment.

If the US thugs can't get a pipeline across the Caspian Sea and through Georgia to the Black Sea, or get the pipeline from Turkmenistan through Afghanistan and Pakistan to the ocean, folks, everything in the Caspian Basin for the past 10 years will have been in total vain.

You may soon be reading about US and UK Big Oil having "liquidation sales" and talking huge multi-billion losses and write downs on their entire Grand Chessboard escapade if the US manages to screw up a deal with Iran like they have everything else in that region of the world.

Since they based the entire escapade on lies, deceit, the totally fraudulent Global War on Terror, I personally think we are about to get a bath in 'red ink' that is well deserved, or there will be huge shifts in US policy coming that are long overdue.

I can hear the Likudists and Neocon Zionists screaming at the top of their lungs from thousands of miles away. Some of them are about to go apoplectic that BushCo is going to have to cut a deal with Iran, whether any of them like it or not.

I sent out a map in an email update that is the current Bridas Corporation map...that Argentina company just keeps marching right along.

The reason I used the simpler map in "The Pyrrhic Victory of The Great Decider" is so Americans could get the simple logistics issues of this "Pipeline War" clear in their heads.

Folks, we are not just losing this pipeline and energy war, the US is being routed. It is like one of those football games when #1 shows up to play an unknown and is humiliated in a 35-0 defeat.

That happens when #1 arrogantly walks in thinking it is 'a walk in the park' and the underdog shows up and crams a game plan and preparation down their throats. That is what is happening to America right now.

This map tells a simple story. We, the USA, are getting our asses kicked in the entire Caspian Basin area by a company from Argentina which is apparently getting along fine with everyone in the entire region.

Bridas Corporation is now the main pipeline player in the entire Caspian Basin and Bush has yet to complete even 1 foot of a pipeline related to the Caspian Basin fiasco. Meanwhile, Russia, Bridas and Iran have completed thousands of miles of pipelines and are rocking right along.

It has occurred to me many times that Bush should call Bridas if he wants to get a pipeline done. But he cannot do that because then it would come out that they had Afghanistan under contract and Bush breached their contract with military force.

Bush cannot turn to Bridas without indicting himself for murder and treason, and war crimes.

The US did get one pipeline done from Azerbaijan through Turkey to the Mediterranean but that is 'Bush League' compared to the Major League oil and gas reserves on the other side of the Caspian Sea.

On both the "current Bridas Corporation map" and in the GlobalResearch.ca article, it is also announced that Gazprom and Libya have just entered into a contract to run a pipeline across the Mediterranean to supply additional natural gas to the EU.
(Commercial contracts and pens decking the world's purported 'only Superpower' again and again.)

It is even worse than that. Once it gets to the EU, if the US can ever get any oil or gas to the EU, the US will have lost that battle as well. Said another way, the US "major market share" is now gone...and in instead being supplied by Russia, Iran, Libya, Algeria, etc.

Ever since 9-11, the US and UK have been the key proponents of the Nabucco pipeline into and across Europe. Bush and Blair were promising a mother lode of oil and gas from the Caspian Basin, but...they failed.

That is the 'red' pipeline on the map below. It is dead. They have delivered nothing, not the financing, the oil and natural gas to put through it or even effectively assembled the team and right of way.

Too busy out lying about their fraudulent Global War on Terror and scurrying around to cover themselves on what are now their glaringly apparent lies, genocide and war crimes.

Hungary recently pulled out of Nabucco and joined the Russian pipeline consortium - the 'blue' pipeline known as South Stream. Austria is in the process of doing the same since their national energy company OMV was to be the terminal end of yet another failed Bush and Blair pipe dream.

Just to show you how presumptively and prematurely stupid our government truly is, note the red "Y" on the east end of proposed US "red" pipeline. That upper part of the "Y" is Armenia as if they already had that in the bag, and do not.

These losers and morons make such erroneous assumptions because the US offered Armenia an arms deal (declined) and the CIA was over there to throw the election in the direction the US wanted it to be (failed).

Meanwhile, the Blue Team Pipeline (aka: Russia South Stream) is moving forward without delay and, of course, has virtually unlimited oil and natural gas to deliver.

When the EU and Bush tried to put Kosovo independence in the way recently, Russia just walked around it and kept right on making progress.

Due to my business, I have to watch a lot more than just the US.
In fact, where I am and what I do (nanotechnology, 8 nations) necessitates that I watch just about everything but the US. The only thing I watch regarding the US is what stupid thing are they going to do next in the Eastern Hemisphere and exacerbate an already screwed up game plan from the outset.

However, I am uniquely positioned to see how these plans have failed - and why. It does not bode well for America and in hindsight, basing this entire fiasco on lies, schemes, etc has now proven to be profoundly incompetent. When you add in that they triggered 9-11 so they could launch this stupidity, it is also murderous and treasonous in the extreme.

The policies of America are wrong-headed. The leadership of America is far too pathetic to ever straighten out the mess they alone have created.

America is at that proverbial "Y" in the road and I am convinced the government will go the wrong way, it always does.

Either American citizens are going to have to fix it or they will bear the bitter, grueling consequences for many decades.
